Rough day on the river. It starts good, but after I enter the main river the water gets bad. The Nitro Z18 handles it, but it isn't fun.

Way to hammer down. This is our average water chop in West Texas. The Z18 does pretty good in that.

Thanks for posting this video. I am a first time bass boat owner (Z18) as of Jan. 2021 and have been in rough water 1 time. I was worried about boat damage, but after watching that I will be more at ease. We're you making adjustment with TRIM and RPM at all? How fast were you going?

Constant trim and RPM adjustments based on the waves. At first I was nearly wide open, as I rounded the corner I had to slow down to 15-20. After days like this on the water I've learned to go over the entire boat and check for loose screws and such because a lot of things will back out from the repeated impacts! Besides that I've suffered no structural damage, no stress cracks or anything yet.

Buy yourself a Troll Tamer and save that trolling motor.

Looks good going with the waves. How about into them?

Going and with and against the waves is generally fine in this boat. But when the waves are hitting the side of the boat it is not fun at all.

@@capersfishing yeh that's every bass boat. Well really any fishing boat. Nice boat. Got an early 2000s skeeter. No problems with it yet. A 20 foot boat. Was just curious how the 18'9 nitro handles. Mite be my next boat. I live in Midwest. I fish bigger water like Kentucky lake, lake Michigan, leech lake. My 20 foot does awesome. Just curious on the z18
