Two and one, making three Intertwined like the links that make a chain 'Round the anchor, round a ship 'Round the bottom of the sea 'Round the world, you and me Back again and then it's us With a lot in a hand Making one, then making us To be more, to be sure That what is here is here for you Here for me, on and on Into the night, into the day Into the years that are to come Before you know that I know It's on and on and on and on You and me, you and us To know and love and love again On and on, on and on The tiny thing that makes us live Through the day, through the night Through a week or through our lives Hand in hand, don't get up Just sit and watch to wonder why Is that a girl, is that a boy Can't think a life can go so far On and on, on and on To know and love and love again On and on, on and on Two and one, making three Like a chain, an anchor And the bed of the sea Being close is where to be We're two minds, two bodies And the rest you don't see You've got to see what we've got to see You've got to find what we've got to find What you see is what you get What you say should be from your own mind Tiny things make us live Through a day, through a night--a week We've got time to forgive And live how we want to live You've got to see what we've got to see You've got to find what we've got to find What's right, what's free What's you, what's me This life to live Wastes time and you don't forgive Whether you be glad, sad or bad Whether you be glad, sad or bad You've got to know that there's fun to be had You've got to know that there's fun to be had Forget all that you're told You are young, they are old Control is all they've got to give Just live how you want to live Tiny things that make us live Two and one, making three Like a chain, an anchor And the bed of the sea Being close is where to be We're two minds, two bodies And the rest you don't see You've got to see what we've got to see (On and on, on and on) You've got to find what we've got to find (On and on, on and on) What you see is what you get (On and on, on and on) What you think should be from your own mind (On and on, on and on) What's right, what's true (On and on, on and on, and know and love and love again) Just think for you (On and on, on and on, and know and love and love again) Whether you be glad, sad or bad (On and on, on and on) Whether you be glad, sad or bad (On and on, on and on) You've got to know that there's fun to be had You've got to know that there's fun to be had Whether you be glad, sad or bad (On and on, on and on) Whether you be glad, sad or bad (On and on, on and on) You've got to know that there's fun to be had You've got to know that there's fun to be had Whether you be glad, sad or bad (On and on, on and on) Whether you be glad, sad or bad (On and on, on and on) You've got to know that there's fun to be had (On and on, on and on) You've got to know that there's fun to be had (On and on, on and on) Whether you be glad, sad or bad (On and on, on and on) Whether you be glad, sad or bad (On and on, on and on) You've got to know that there's fun to be had (On and on, on and on) You've got to know that there's fun to be had (On and on, on and on) #lyrics

Memories of 1990, still got this on video when it was played on the 'ITV Chart Show'.... good times for music unlike the shit made today
@politesociety Жыл бұрын
Even specifically talking about this style of old school ebm, there is plenty of quality music being made today. There's been a bit of a resurgence of it crossed with techno and dark electro. Douglas did some vocals on Djedjotronic's Take Me Down from a few years ago, but also check out Brixx, REIN, Louisahhh, Kris Baha, Body Beat Ritual, Schwefelgelb, Black Dahlia, Giant Swan, AAKAARA, Body Divide, Buzz Kull, Keluar, Ohota have all released amazing tracks in the last 10 years. If you look for good music you can find it.
@anthonycotter1493 Жыл бұрын
This like this will always be said People who grew up with music from the 60s/70s consider this music to be 'shit' (same is said of every generation and the stuff that comes after) (to be fair new music sucks, lol)
@politesociety Жыл бұрын
@@anthonycotter1493 that seems reductive. I grew up in the 80's, so I should hate modern music, but I generally prefer it, but also appreciate music during and before my bracket. I think there are just people who equate the feeling of nostalgia with some kind of ephemeral quality that can't be reproduced. People who cherry pick the very best time tested tracks and compare them to something they just heard on the radio, when every era has plenty of bland uninspired music, but it tends to be forgotten after time has passed. It's a delusional biased view I constantly see in KZfaq comment sections for older music. It's fine to have good memories of an earlier time, but it's bs to claim that nothing today can compare when objectively from a production, composition and performance point of view that is impossible.

People will probably cut my head off for saying this, but it reminds me of the Beastie Boys!! White rap!! I don’t know this band’s music, so I am just going on what it sounds like, but I like the rebellious message - I wish there was fun to be had, my life is so mundane living in a crappy English university town, although I would not go to America, especially New York, I’d be scared of gun violence. And unfortunately, don’t know when this was released, but it is 2024, and I am definitely not young, I am middle aged.
