This song is... just more like depeche. Sounds nice, this energy is curious... Fragments are looking like 90s video but everything is looking like just late 80s where music was good (and great) but vibe isn't probably for me.

Well I don’t know much of the music, just a few songs I’ve been listening to on YT, but wow, Douglas - “Baby, come to Daddy.” - if you said that to me when I was younger, I would have had no hesitation in going to you!! As well as being a great singer, Douglas definitely has something that people comparing NE to Depeche Mode just can’t see. Depeche Mode’s music never inspired me, it is cold and loveless - Martin Gore’s songs never did it for me, I like love songs - and Doug McCarthy definitely sings them with passion boiling over. If you can’t see that and keep comparing to their contemporary band at the time, you really need to look harder. Only looked at a few songs - Ascend being one of them, and I Give to You and I can see just how talented Nitzer Ebb, with Doug McCarthy as their frontman, are. My cup is not full, I will have to listen more. My cup of sweets, Douglas. ❤️ You are a heart-throb. ❤️xxxx

People will probably cut my head off for saying this, but it reminds me of the Beastie Boys!! White rap!! I don’t know this band’s music, so I am just going on what it sounds like, but I like the rebellious message - I wish there was fun to be had, my life is so mundane living in a crappy English university town, although I would not go to America, especially New York, I’d be scared of gun violence. And unfortunately, don’t know when this was released, but it is 2024, and I am definitely not young, I am middle aged.

Sehr sehr geil. Diesen Track habe ich 1989 zum ersten mal gespielt und alle dachten, jetzt flippt er aus. Und das tat ich auch. Nach dreitagen war alle Vinyl-Schallplatten von Nitzer verkaufft. Zum Glück habe ich mir in der Schweiz (Phantera Records bei Rolf) gleich alle 15 Exempare gekaut und niemand andrer konnte die Platte spiehen. 🤣😇🙈🙉🙊❤
