First issues arose from break calibers. Motorcycle calipers usually do not protect the pistons from water. Also I show that I estimate the battery capacity to be still above 90%. The NIU app suggests differently.

The problem of paint peeling on aluminum alloys existed a few years ago, and I don't know if the latest products have improved. Other accessories are very cheap in China, so we will directly replace the accessories, or modify more advanced accessories. Electric cars are fine. The only downside is that charging is too slow. There are many free public toilets in China, there are free power supplies in the toilets, don't worry about running out of electricity, but it takes a lot of time to charge, and it can't be used for long-distance riding (over 300Km), so I sold NQI and bought a gasoline car motorcycle.

At current fuel prices and the fast forward extinction of fossil fuels, riding my NQI scooter is a no brainer. I am only coming up to 7 months and 515 miles of use. The biggest problem we have is living in cities where a lot of people live in tenements. Charging is going to be the crux of owning anything electric. Prices of electricity is rocketing world wide and fast charging will work out at petrol prices very soon. Battery life is the next on the list. We need an exchange scheme, a battery on a scooter is half its price. On a car it’s the same. It’s not cost effective to buy another battery. It’s more proactive to buy another bike! The same for a car. It’s scrapped effectively once the battery is past its charge cycles. This isn’t good for the consumer or the planet.
@joakimdam97232 жыл бұрын
The battery will have approx 600 to 800 Charging cycles, i think the bike will break down before the batteries

How long do you think the bike will last? How often did you ride in snow/salt on the roads, could you estimate days/year? Do you think buying corrosion protection would be worth it? Could you sell your last bike for a bit or did you just trash it?
@prometeusz.jasinski2 жыл бұрын
1st year for sure 5% of the time. Second less than 1% and this winter also not so much. If you see more salt, corrosion will possibly eat up your bike.

@@prometeusz.jasinski thanks a lot, i live in Denmark and i would say maybe 20% of the time (only some of the winter) salt is being used. Bike will probably last only 2 years then, and then a used car will be cheaper than the NIU sadly

Hello Prometeusz, thanks for your videos, i bought the 2022 model and after 5400km the Niu store told me that my brakes need replacing. I am shocked that the pads is so bad. Hello Prometeusz, this is the video I was looking for. Thank you. I never had a scooter and I still hesitate between electrical vs gaz (i have EV). What is the theoretical and real autonomy of yours on middle mode (not econo)? Have a good day.

Electric vehicles are a low-cost way to get around, but maybe not when you consider batteries. In addition, there is a serious shortage of cruising range. Obviously, gasoline vehicles are good enough. The battery technology of electric vehicles has been improved slightly, and the energy density is too low.
