Yeah I don’t think it’s really #2’s whistle either. The whistle from that clip does not sound like it’s got a deep note compared to #2’s whistle, which does have a deep note. I had recently compared both whistles (one heard in Adventure Time and one from #2) and I can immediately tell the difference. With that being said, my opinion might possibly be that the whistle dubbed from that clip from Adventure Time is probably a Crosby 5 inch 3 chime whistle. From what locomotive? I have no idea. I have seen videos of that Crosby whistle and saw videos of the Handy Dandy Railroad’s #9 using that same type of whistle just like the ones on the Tweetsie Railroad, which their locomotives mostly uses 3 chime, including the 5 inch Crosby which sound almost identical. I may not be able to find the legitimate source, but at least I have found similar whistles on other locomotives. Who knows that in another country, another steam locomotive might also have the same type of whistle in the possession of the crews which worked on them outside of the US. Only time will tell.
