AYO INSPECTION ON SUNDAY SHOP CLOSURE

On July 8, the Angami Youth organization with the team went for inspection on Sunday for the closure of shops/business establishments around Kohima town. While during the inspection some shops and businesses without the proper permits were open including the liquor shops. AYO appealed to the shop owners and the business establishment to follow norms of Sunday closure of shops and businesses, also informed that there will be strict action to be taken against the offenders.

Creating awareness and sensitizing is appreciated. Closure of shops and restaurants for residents of Kohima is fine but we have to think for tourists and travellers also. We need to consider for emergency needs. In one way we can also provide a safer and more pleasant shopping experience by distributing shopping over seven days which can even reduce congestions. The elected Councillors should carefully consider the matter concerning the closure of shops on sundays, taking into account that aligns with best interests of the community as a whole.

Your point is valid. But, for emergency cases there are lodges that will suffice or cater to the needs of travellers for the night/day. Closure of shops on Sundays should be a testament to the christian norms. However, health/medical emergencies like pharmacies must be exempted.

Nagaland is Christian state. Therefore, closer of shop on Sunday should be strictly imposed to all the business establishment. 95% business establishment is control by non locals so never compromise our faith and Christians principles.

On Sunday don't you guys eat foods or don't you need a soaps or a cigar tamol.. Sunday shops is most vital, then why most Nagas go toward the police check gate ie Laorijan Or khutkiti Assam.. Kam asi sob to. 😊 Eto mano Angamie koilebvi Nagamiz thik koi si... Kinto eto konbah asi Nagamis kowa thik buji bo paranei. Magr yea banda sei mein bolchuka hein. Asi hona cheiye.. Few shops are allowed to open even on Sunday by ads.order.. But these things shouldn't be allowed either by admini. order or kmc directives. Nagaland state being a Christian state , where everyone are expected to attain church devotional services. No talked on the shops and restaurants opening on Sunday and violators be strictly deal. 😊
