Fun fact: In 2019 judges gave 0 votes to inkie bcs they thought inkie cheated but in reality inkie is much superior than that judges in looping.. In 2021 GBB appoint inkie as a judge to choose a wildcard winner...

BRO I hope you and you guys hear this, second devices are not 'cheating'... According to Madox who was one of the insider of these battle videos, for the judges, Inkie didn't really sounded organic enough (human vocals/beatboxing).. that was the main reason Inkie lost in this battle

The judges didn't like thats Inkies rounds didn't sound like loopstation beatboxing. Which is the whole point of the battles, it sounded more synth than human sounds. Where as NME still sounded man-made. And the rules for 2021 loopstation battles will probably be changed accordingly

@@d3l3tes00n they allowed it because not much was known about his second device. No one knew how powerful it could be paired with the 505. I'm sure the rules will be changed for the 2021 loop battles

@@Kuzumai But then if you apply the mantra that has been used in the beatbox community that is "beatbox is music", Inkie's way of doing things with his loops further approaches to that goal. Also have you seen his WBBC battles ? He already sounds like he is "cheating" and too electronic xD

all the judges said i lie won by far after, but they couldn’t let him through because he used a synthesiser as his second device which is illegal in loopstation rules

line 6 helix is legal, they just thought he used prerecorded synth and not trigger those sounds by voice which isnt true, watch chezame and sxin reacting to this battle or brez, they explained it well

Everything inkie used was completely legal. Its just that they thought he was cheating , which he wasn't. And the judges were loopers who mostly into voice looping. The judges weren't the greatest loopers , tbh.

Yooo we respect your opinion bruv don’t listen to the haters It’s like... winning a battle like this is kinda hard cuz it depends on manyyy factors As you said, tech means A LOT but also the judge takes into account the stage presence, the execution of the beat, the crowd control, the confidence, the melody itself (like u said in the previous bbx video) and so on So in this case NME didn’t win ONLY because of his tech , but also because Inkie was kind of cheating due to his second device, even tho he was controlling the crowd (and the melodies were fire as fuck) Additionally, every judge has their own opinion. Perhaps they like the melody or not, even if that’s executed well u know? That’s how it works, in some words, hope u got it Again, me personally i respect ur opinion and the fact that ur sooo honest in ur videos is a big ++++ for a guy who reacts to beatbox on yt Keep it going dude!

Good breakdown man but i don't agree that inkie cheated since a second device is allowed so it doesnt make any sense to be prejudiced to the use of it. I recommend you watch brez's video about the topic. Basically why nme won was because inkie was too good and the judges felt it wasnt fair which indicates that theres a problem with the rules and judging system.

@@xxxnicepersonxx9672 Thank you man, wanted to point out the fact that Inkie used sounds that weren’t from his voice or body, otherwise the phrase “he cheated” would not have made any sense And yeahhh bruhh ive seen brez’s video in my recommendations but couldn’t watch it yet, I will legitimately watch it asap Im so curious about his opinion and ideas

@@alindaniel1385 but then rythmind should have lost to NME as well. Since he used rhe metronome in his first round against NME and thats not a voice triggered sound. Or how about NME clapping and snapping. Per the "rules" for the GBB those arnt voice triggered, so where is the line between whats voice triggered and not?

@@Kuzumai it doesnt say in the rules u cant clap and also the device inkie was using was not an illedgal device its on the list of second devices allowed if u watch brezes reaction he breaks it down a bit better and he also talked to the judges after and they all said the same thing inkie acually won this battle but because of their unfamiliarity with his second device they gave it to nme these judges had never seen this device before and this device is way better than normail instead of taking 20 sedonds to make a melody it takes 3 seconds i recomend watching brezes video tho him having an understanding of these devices used he explains everything better

@@HDgaming519 yes I saw BreZ video while it was premiering, and yes I know it doesn't say you can't use snaps and claps but that doesn't mean its not a voice triggered sound. And the line 6 is well known for some aspects, but then inkie found new ways to use it and the judges did know it could do that.

“Inkie got robbed” ask the crowd screaming NME at the end and the fact all 5 judges picked him. NME’s originality is undefeated, he is by far the most unique loop station artist and is actually underrated if anything. You know nothing.

@@Riccardo272 Underrated or not. His performance wasn't that good against inkie. He used the exact same routine he has used twice before , which is not a bad thing but just saying. But NME had timing issue , pitch problem , bad drum sounds , kinda awkward drop , bad transition , off pitch voices. I cant see much errors in inkie's round. They both used second device. So , idk man , more errors means more unlikely to win. So i think NME lost. NME is good but i wouldn't call him the most unique. I mean Inkie is already pretty unique , if u have seen his performances. They were literally calling him cheater because he didn't sound "organic" and thought he was using pre recorded sounds.

@@MrBumblebee I would say NME deserved it. I think he would’ve won anyways from the complexity especially in the first round. The structure of his first round was a six bar phrase of 5/4 with a hemiola over the last two bars. Inkie has great creativity in sounds and his transitions are so smooth, but his rhythm is very basic. In my opinion most loop station battles rhythms are pretty repetitive. (I’m talking about it’s mostly eighth notes, sixteenth notes.) Its basically all the same rhythms, layers, and layers of loops of course different melodies but they use the same rhythms and usually the music is always in 4/4 time signature. NME has more complexity to his music but I wouldn’t say he’s that much clean. NME still has to rough out the edges in his songs. Idk if you know anything about the very detailed parts of music but that was my take on it.

I can appreciate the stuff nme does, but some of the more slower ones I’m just as big a fan of personally. I love nme though, just not a lot of his slower stuff

the judge ( did a good job) it's not about effect from the device.. it's about the technique that you do from your mouth... with loopstation.. let's appreciate how much nme improve the quality of human ( make a real music with mouth ) if it's not about the technique nme also can beat like inkie or brez.. come on..nme was old loopstation... and he know what was his doing ❤❤❤love nme a lot
