Sorry to say but you're so right. Riley is only interested in a QB that can win a Heisman to increase his own worth as a coach and unfortunately it won't be Moss but some known player from the portal. As everyone knows the SC offense has no issues yet he ignores what's right in front of him. The defense gave up 28 points - almost close to their 34.5 ppg average.@@docsavage6024

@@ChristianStrawser-xv7rvYeah, but at least you're not a Stanford fan. For a while in the 2010s, we were the top team in the conference along with Oregon, Washington, and USC. It was these four teams far better than the rest. It was a fun time to be a Stanford Cardinal football fan. But now it feels like since coach Shaw left the program has been in constant rebuild, we haven't had a winning season since 2018 when we won a bowl game. Our winning recipe is a 2-RB backfield, both who are great, and a solid dual-threat QB with accuracy and good on-field IQ. Which shouldn't be hard to figure out because everyone at Stanford is high IQ.

USC is not built for the big 10 360 yd to a Louisville team over 220 yards. Rushing Big ten's about to have a field day with that. Not Even 100 yd rushing the ball USC is one dimensional big ten is going to eat USC alive.

Moss looked good, which I'd say is more important than his stats. He seemed poised, stayed cool under pressure, and kept his eyes down field. Seems to have a pretty good arm, too.

He throw the deep ball as good as anyone. Very impressed by the down field passing. Needs to work on the crossing and out passing. Threw the ball behind WR all night. Got picked once, should have gotten picked twice. That should be is main focus in the spring.

The ACC getting rid of their divisions means that a ton of teams get a watered-down schedules. If they kept the divisions Louisville would have probably 3 or 4 regular season losses because they would have played Florida State and Clemson

It's amazing how people are on here questioning if Caleb Williams is good or not just because Miller Moss, the backup QB, had a good game. One good game doesn't make you a star. Consistently having good games is what makes you a star. Caleb Williams won the Heisman trophy last year and has shown time and time again that he is a standout quarterback.

I don't want to rain on your parade but a lot of you commenters are talking like Miller Moss and USC just won the national championship game, you didn't. You won a lackluster bowl game that was played with 2nd stringers on both sides. USC didn't even get to go play in another state you basically traveled about 75 miles down the freeway to play in San Diego while most other teams traveled out of state. Quit patting yourself on your backs and thinking like you're going to stroll into the big 10 and become a dynasty. If anything, USC will be a doormat!

Nice backhanded compliment, bigruinfan. Miller Moss had a great game, but it looked he did what he was told to do - release the ball quickly, let the receivers do the rest. He's not anywhere near the talent of Caleb Williams. But as a Ruins fan, you'd see that Moss trained his eyes on his intended receiver, no progressions, just 2-3 steps in the pocket, release, then it's on the receivers. That's easy for a sophisticated defense like UCLA's to read and pick. I got your number. Moss won't be the starter next year. Oh, I forgot, we have your DC and two of your defensive players coming over to our side next year. Maybe Moss will be able to handle your guys after all.

great game for USC and new qb!!!!...and it's a good thing caleb was not playing...he would have been running all around behind the front line and would have eventually lost the game...he won't be doing that in the pros because he will be hurt for sure..

This is a testament to the great receivers USC has. Lot of short, inaccurate throws and throwing off the back foot from Moss. Taking advantage of the linebackers playing man against our receivers helped a lot though. Hope he can clean that up if he does become our starter

Because 1 team beat Louisville? Lol Didn't Utah just lose to northwestern? Cal got smoked by tech (tech who also almost beat oregon)? Lol at least they're better than the acc I guess. But Washington isn't playing acc, and at the moment big 12 is looking strong in the bowl games.

I dont know why I truly believed this game was going to be competitive. Looking at the final score you'd probably say it was, but SC seemed to move the ball at will, with really not much resistance at all. Running it or throwing it, the Trojans were allowed to do whatever they wanted, but Louisville always seemed to be under pressure to score, with max effort in a tough grind. SC was playing Cat & Mouse games, just enough to keep the Cardinals believing they could possibly win this game.

Congrats to USC. Beat down a fraudulent #15 ranked Louisville. The ACC should be a 1aa conference at this point. But props to USC. They have a nice future ahead of them.

Miller Moss and this version of the USC team, with 26 players in the portal or out of the game and headed to the NFL put up an electric performance at the Holiday Bowl. Imagine how good they will be next year with their three new defensive coaches, all well respected and ready to take the defense to the next level. Next up: the Trojans go to play in the BIG 10.
