Put some respect on Illinois, they’ve been grinding it out and putting their program on the map again. This could go down as one of the best teams school history along side the ‘89 Flying Illini and the ‘05 Illini.

I'm a lifelong Illinois fan from Chicago, and I lived in both Spokane and Ann Arbor for a few months. Let me just say, this was easily the best Illinois win since Arizona in the Final Four, and I'm super hype for the chance to play Gonzaga in the Championship.

@@jordanwolfson8378 it’s also true that they haven’t played a team as good as Illinois either, and the Zags have a history of collapsing in the tourney. Obviously they are a very good team, but the soft schedule is going to hurt them when jt matters most.

Even with Ayo they lost to a MSU team that’s not even tournament worthy. If MSU makes it, it’s all because of an overrated win against an overrated IL team. IL is definitely very good. But people out here acting like beating MI makes up for the loss to a MSU team that’s arguably Izzo’s worst in decades.

It was only cut to single digit because of a petty steal and layup by an IL player with few seconds left when MSU had already stopped playing and was simply dribbling in one spot to drain the last 10 seconds. go cry about refs somewhere else.
