In the new year, Nakiri Ayame couldn’t visit her parents, so she visited this time.
She had nothing to do at there, so she was just killing time.
The time she had to leave was getting sooner, but her parents wanted her to stay as much as possible so they tried everything to make her stay.

Well, her fanbase is called Nakiri-gumi, and she is called Ojou. Both terms are oftenly used for Yakuza family.

as you get older and your parents keep aging along with you, you start to find they really just want to be in your presence sometimes. no plans. nothing extra to do. just pure company. i think that fills their heart more than doing anything specific each visit. learning to cherish those moments is important. this was a cute interaction to hear about.

@@sufianramli I "think" she said her parents were overbearing, like they wanted her to be the perfect girl; quiet, 100% test grades, pretty, etc. Didn't let her do any nerd/weeb stuff. I think she said she didn't laugh/giggle alot because her family didn't show emotions. It got to the point were they turned her into a "delinquent/oni" I think because she started to "act out". But ~to be fair~ to her parents, she says she loves them alot, and if you look at it from a cultural/social stand point, her parents were completely normal/average for japanese parents.

Has she graduated university yet? Either way, her parents are in that phase of empty nest where they want their kid back, just to spend time with and/or spoil. I went to college 6 hours away from where I grew up, so it was always hard for my mom to not delay my departures or send me off with leftovers.

@@Eric-vs2he Now that you question it, I can't find any confirmation she is/was in university while streaming, but it was a commonly accepted reason for her inconsistent streaming schedule. Unless you have some forbidden knowledge I'm not aware of, I'm fairly certain she's mid 20s at most.
