One of the main rivalries of the early to mid 2000s... We will never forget. Little hiccup at the end of the 3rd set due to a problem in the source file, nothing major tho. I am working on a lot of indian wells/miami material, so keep an eye out on my community page!

was the ball slower (heavier) those days or is it just a camera quality?

@AlexeiMotoRin the framerate, and the higher angle makes it seem a bit slower. The court level points appear faster. If you check those points, you'll probably see the difference. Do have to note Indian Wells has always been a bit on the slower side.

Ufff.. The iconic 2005-2007 days of Fedex. The dashing hair style, slightly XL sized merchandise,, the stylish Six-One Tour 90 racquet.. As near as we could get to Tennis Perfection

That rally at 8:00 was featured in a "Mercedes Benz Play of the Week" episode, back in the day when I was in high school. We used to download them on emulators since YT had yet barely started to exist. Almost twenty yrs ago...

The matchup changed after 2003 when Roger stopped trying to force himself past Hewitt's defenses and started using the slice to mix up the pace. Like Fed once said, Lleyton could go an hour without missing, and he was very comfortable with pace, so his slice forced the Aussie to hit shorter often and then he pounced. Rafa was the only one that would have had a chance to beat Fed the way he was playing that week.

Fed’s bh is faster than Hewitt’ Fh 😅. Crazy how much he got overpowered

This rivalry is so similar to the curretn Sinner vs Medvedev h2h. Hewitt dominated Federer during their first 9 meetings, leading 7-2. But as 2004 arrived, Federer entered his peak. Winning 16 out of the next 18 meetings between them.

After multiple losses in 2004, this match felt like Hewitts last chance to prove that he could still be competitive in the rivalry having dominated Federer in juniors. In the end Fed utterly demolished him like it was a walk in the park.

From double-breadsticking the great Pete Sampras in the US open final to a 15 match losing streak against your chief rival. Poor Hewitt didn't deserve this, for sure.

Federer no começo da carreira tinha o rosto redondo e um nariz diferente. Ele parecia mais velho no início da carreira

I'm @ the 18th minute, the video is 24 min long and honestly feels like a Federer highlights reel. 2005-07 Federer is something else... What's the closest match to vintage prime Federer (2006) vs prime Djokovic (2011) that was played in hard courts? I really wish we had had a clash like that. There's also something I'd like to be checked. I would like to compare what the weak era pace was. I've watched enough of both eras to think that there is marginally no difference, but still I would like to know if there is a way to compare both. There *is* a lot of difference in terms of angles, strategy, spin, volleys... Much richer and variated almost 20 years ago than nowadays. Everyone plays pretty much the same style, it's unbearable compared to anything +10 years before.

On a hard court? Hmm.. Honestly I don't think we ever really got that but either one of the 2 USO matches between 2010-2011 probably? Their 2008 encounter is pretty good as well

I wish you kept the 4:3 aspect ratio so I dont have to zoom in on my ipad 😢

Sorry, this is the original aspect ratio. I did it 2 years ago and stretched the image but didn't like it..

@@TvRFReloaded you can render 4:3 without stretching the image, just cutting the sides. 2k would be 1536 x 1152

11:39 OMFG I've seen many insane shots by Federer, I swear, but WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT. Even if it involves a little bit of luck that must be easily TOP 3 shots ever by him. It makes absolute 0 sense. More weak era matches PLEASE
