Atheism was extremely unusual, I would say mostly due to how societies at the time viewed causality. Ultimate causality and the idea of prime mover(s) was essential to the epistemology at the time. Atheism is “allowed” by the artificial reduction of phenomena to proximate causes, teleology being largely dismissed as a philosophical oddity by the natural sciences. Long story short, of course.

1:12 It's unfortunate that kindred, enemy, and negative are the same everywhere and across time(as I take from Pavia). Protestant-Catholic relations were historically different across Europe and the Americas later on. The Calvinist Netherlands had a revolt against Catholic Spain and won, but relations as well as the rights of Catholics improved over time. Napoleon made massive changes to Catholic-Protestant relations in general; France Reformed and Lutherans got state recognition, and Napoleon put a big dent into the Spanish Inquisition. And what about Switzerland? I think some nations should have multiple state faiths also(which helps East Asia as well).

Worried about the one dice roll for a battle Like what if aragon invades sicily and they just win

Lol just all based on luck. It is pretty powerful if you manage to roll a high number in the beginning of a battle

It makes me think you want to start as many irrelevant combats as possible, like with small stacks, then if you see you get a good roll, then you dog pile with your full army.

@@SireBab That sounds like a nice trick! I will keep a note of this.

@@SireBab That probably wouldn't be a good idea, since you don't want to throw population away like that just looking for dice rolls, Battles the enemy can retreat out of because you'd have to reinforce to bring your whole force to bear to capitalize on the 9.
@SireBab

@@Leivve At some point how much does a few hundred men matter when dozens of thousands die naturally every year? I get that though. When a pitched massive battle can result in dozens of thousands of dead in the case of a bad result, this seems like a fair trade. Enemies retreating is a valid point, especially for players. I sure as hell would dip the second I saw a 9 for these guys as my enemy lol.
