This pakora recipe is my favorite. It can be made so quickly that we named it “Swift Pakora”. Only a few bread slices, eggs, oil, and some regular spices make this recipe incredibly mouthwatering and delicious.
Yummy Swift Pakora
Preparation Time: 5-6 minutes.
Cooking Time: 6-8 minutes.
Serving: 4-6 people.
Ingredients:
1. Bread slices 4-5 pcs.
2. Fried onion / sliced onion 1 cup.
3. Ginger paste 1 Tbsp.
4. Garlic pastes 1 tsp.
5. Turmeric powder ½ tsp.
6. Coriander powder 1 Tbsp.
7. Cumin powder 1 tsp.
8. Red chili flakes 1 tsp.
9. Amchur powder/lemon juice 1 tbsp.
10. Nigella seeds 1 tsp.
11. Chopped coriander leaves 2 Tbsp.
12. Chopped green chili 2-3 pcs.
13. Egg 2 pcs.
14. Baking powder 1 tsp.
15. Salt 1 tsp.
16. Black salt as required.
Procedure:
17. Cut the bread pieces into strips.
18. In a bowl add all the spices, eggs, salt, and baking powder. Mix everything well. You can add or skip any of the spices.
19. Add the bread strips. Lightly press and mix for 2-3 min. Break the pieces into smaller pieces.
20. Heat oil on medium heat. Shape the pakoras as you like. Fry them flipping 2/3 times until golden and crisp.
21. Sprinkle a generous amount of black salt on top.
Serve with any chutney or ketchup.
