Couple of questions: What is the life of a mower deck doing that type of work? How long have you been doing it? Your skid steer skills are right on!! How much do you charge for a project like this one? Do you charge by the machine hours or by the job? Great videos, really enjoy watching. Cheers from Austin, Texas
@idigit49673 жыл бұрын
As far as the life of the mower deck, I have no clue, but I've had this mower for almost 3 years now and I've been doing this professionally for about 2 years. I charge by the acre or the hour depending on the project. For mowing jobs like this its typically by the acre, for larger brush cutting jobs I'm typically by the hour. Thank you for watching Tom!

Can you manually regen prior to the system doing it on schedule? My buddy says his Kubota regens at the least opportune times. Normally when he’s in a hurry or loading up. I don’t have a regen on my current tractor, but plan on moving up.
@idigit49673 жыл бұрын
No I don't think you can manually turn on the regen. If you can I don't know how to do it but I've been through all of the options in the computer and I've never seen that. On the Kubota U55 we just got there is an option in the cab that allows you to manually delay the regen if you're using it and don't want it in regen mode at that particular time. My Deere regens it seems like every 50-75 hours or so but the Kubota regens like every 10-20 but wherein the Deere usually takes 20-30 mins to regen the Kubota will be like 10-15 mins.

Nice video, excellent editing. But you need to talk to while you’re at work. This video is over 30 minutes in length, which means there’s too much dead air. Your intro and conclusion are good, but you could have filled the space between with some remarks. For instance, on the hole you found and some of the thicker scrub. Remember, this is an infomercial and you need to keep potential customers entertained. Take a page from Chris at Letsdig18 or John at Upstate Brush Control. If your video to 10 or 15 minutes long, then it’s not that big a deal. But the longer the video, the more necessary it is to use filler. And you’re a good talker. A few good stories and observations go a long way, such as elaborating how how you were hired for this job; the fact that your client saw you cutting the lot next to him and asked if you were available. Give it a try. You’ll see how well you do.
