Well done on another solid discussion! Really interesting perspectives. Regarding the technology stuff - I feel there has to be a ‘national’ intervention of how educational establishments cannot only make access to education transparent and honest, but also dealing with any potential safeguarding issues that may arise within schools, and continue within the home - every school should still have their own policy which reflect their outlook / ethos but central government should (if not already doing so) carry out a detail inquiry into the matter with the aim of using the findings to inform legislation…the inquiry should be carried out by an independent body who is not only unconnected to the government, but who are experts in the field with great understanding of how social media and associated technology can and are being used by particular age groups within the education system.

We fully agree, more measures need to be put in place. Some Teachers are so far removed from social media, that they have no way of combating cyber bullying etc because they are not familiar with any sites
