I have attended one interview last week and said that I have to come to office 5 days a week. I said that I can't come to office unless required and said that you are doing meeting with European/American counterparts remotely and insisting Indian employees to come to office daily. Person interviewed got shocked and he has no answer. End of interview.

@@tunaninhaha. I am not manager. Before 3yrs also wfh was there but on limited basis now why people want it as full . Because most of female employees won't work in work from home.. always doing household chores which makes others to extend. If they are available on office hours fully infront of system then fine

@@tunanin u read my comment fully and then come for argument I agree to ur points . But most of folks especially women are not available full for office timings in WFH. They say need to cook. Need to sleep kid bla bla and wasting others time . We there is dependencies. If you are available from 10 to 5 then it is completely fine but most folks say will be away for an hour or need to drop /pickup kids like that and while away the time of others too. Also few managers expect to work beyond 6 too. Which incase of office we can leave. WFH home has ruined the timing and punctuality discipline at first place. Also it is good for your economy but what about linked jobs indirect jobs like cafes , juice shops, tea shops , cab , share autos, house keeping guys. Infact we are working more than wfo than in WFH for same pay and using our resources like power and internet for cmpy

I thought you guys would mention about this narayanamoorthy's 70hrs/week comment. Many employers will come to witness the reduced productivity when WFO comes back permanently. I think, Infy already made decision to bring WFO and would have thought about this. I guess that he made such a statement to atleast meet the productivity during WFH times. Whatever, 70hrs/week wont happen. And We can really enjoy WFO since we have many distractions and other activities at office rather than at home.

Work from office can make employees to explore more things, work in different projects, can decrease the workjng time for employees, and they can relax for sometimes and then work... Why are they feeling work from office is a stressful one?? Moreover, work from home will makes people lazy and sitting in a four cornered room without explore anything or without expanding their contacts or without knowing anyone like managers or don't have a face to face interactions... What is the use in this?? Why we want work from home? Because of pandemic, all organizations have declared work from home.. Work from home is just a solution to fight the pandemic. It's not a permanent thing for employees to work in home.... Employees refusing work from home means, they can make themselves lazy and feeling alone without any contacts or without any outings, dinners, parties, selfie with friends, friend tours etc and etc... They are not able to enjoy those type of things also and can't able to expand their contacts and they can't explore the office environment. Only working in home will make people very much lazier.
