As soon as it gets cold, you can’t kick our cat outside. The house is warm, but he feels that it is cold outside. I forcefully endure him, but he is so cowardly that it becomes pitiful.
Our cat is just over a year old. I always wanted a gray one.
Before getting a cat, I told my daughter that I would choose it myself, but she, as always, brought me her own. He really was so handsome that I immediately fell in love with him. So smart, he understands everything.
Now many people walk their dogs in warm clothes. Why shouldn’t my Masyanya sew one like this? I wasn’t completely sure that he would wear it, because the collar still didn’t recognize him and wriggled around until they took it off.
First you need to choose the material. It should be a warm, stretchy fabric to make the cat comfortable. A sweater sleeve is what you need.
In principle, the sleeve is just the right size, but I still took some measurements:
- measured the length of the body to know how much to cut.
- distance from neck to paws.
- distance between paws.
- paw width.
Masyanya treated this process with understanding. In general, whenever I photograph him, he does what you say and takes the desired pose.
Master Class:
1) Position the sleeve so that the seam is in the middle. I cut the required length in a semicircle (for the back).
2) Then I cut off where the seam is in a semicircle in the other direction (for the belly). The seam on the sleeve was ripped open.
3) I trimmed the ripped edges with strips of fabric.
4) I sewed the cut edge with a zigzag and turned it up to a width of 1.5 cm.
5) I attached a detachable zipper to the treated sides. But this is not necessary, you can take an ordinary one.
6) On the elastic side, I marked the places for sewing in the “sleeves”. I used a cap for this.
7) Use scissors to cut out holes.
8) I sewed sleeves from a rectangle and sewed them into the hole.
9) The cat wears this caftan with pleasure.
