It's hard to imagine Grohl learned to drum by himself. I mean that herta rudiment is not easy to figure out from just listening to other musician.

Great lesson but in the groove after the triplet fills in the chorus section has a little mistake, the kick pattern is also in triplets, you should place de kick in the first and third triplets on beats 1 and 3, otherwise it would sound completely different. Besides that, is a great lesson...loved how you explained the fills, pretty easy to understand!

What can i do for learn the Hertha?

On the section that starts at 0:58 the second snare hit on the 2nd bar (4th and 6th bars too) is placed on the second 8th note of the 3rd pulse. Wouldn't it be more acurate to say that it's actually placed on the 3rd note of a 8th note triplet of that 3rd pulse? Same happens with the very last hit on the fill in this same section. Sorry if my english is messy, it's not my first language.

To do the drum fill in 5:19 fast you use double stroke?

i will never be able to play the herta fill in the chorus, i can play it - but it is so sloppy and i dont think ill ever be able to do it cleanly - its just such an odd fill and something you never really use anywhere else!

If you want to make your cover of this 100% accurate, play really really fucking hard.
