In the manga it shows that hr wasnt actually going to hit her. He was going to intimadate her and warned her that next time he wasnt going to stop himself. There was no intention to kill her there

@@steezy2182 She was also well-established to qualify as one of the Asaemon, who are executioners across the board, and to begin with, the _only_ real threat to Gabimaru's life until she spelled out that he actually wanted to live. Like, sure, this is months after the fact, but this was already known by this point.

I also thought she was a girl, even when reading the manga and got confused when Tenza referred to her as a boy. I just assumed since he’s kinda slow he just didn’t notice.

Out of all the new gen shonen and what not this one is the only one that hasn t clicked with me. Like it liked the first 3 eps But from then i kinda forgot to watch ep 4 and 5 when it came out. Thats a sign that im not eager to watch it

I get what you are saying and i struggled at first whether i should continue reading the manga. Imo the characters are well written and their dynamic later on is super enjoyable, plus the story is definitely more unique than other shonen.
