Which kinda does make sense, as there’s a lot of stories where male characters like a girl and the author just continuously throws other girls at them for fan service self insert purposes

As for the elixir it's real but it has a catch, though I'm pretty sure anyone would've probably guessed that already.

It would kinda be like mixing Judaism, Christianity, and Islam together. They got similar root philosophies but they’re different enough that mixing them would be very weird. I guess it only seems not weird cuz they don’t really know the religion and culture at all. Sometimes Asian stuff is entirely lost on western audiences lol

@@theanimerapper6351 I didn't really get why they saw fit to make her look nerfed so soon either, but its because she needs to reflect more on herself. yeah the way they did it made it feels forced and out of place, but they did follow the manga to a tee with this encounter. I don't really think that was the studio's fault; its more the way they chose to start exploring the softness of her character that makes it weird. First they established a standard of strength in your mind for her by having gabimaru state her strength, and showing it. Then they show you her in a vulnerable state right after that.

If I see Scandinavians with Micronesian artifacts, performing their tribal rituals , that would be strange. But Lao Tzu is from China, Buddhism came from India. Literal nextdoor neighbors. The similarities in philosophy / art & aesthetics aren't coincidental. Hinduism, Taoism, Orthodox Buddism, Zen Buddism, it all falls under the "eastern philosophy" umbrella.

It's an "awakened" individual. A realized being usually depicted as a meditating Buddha, or an ethereal being with multiple arms. Taoism has their version. The Mahayana Buddhists has their own. Zen Buddhists, Tibetan Buddist, etc. Christians have Jesus on a cross. Do you understand how that's different from the rest?

Lol a big theme of the show is the fact that criminals and the samurai aren’t that much different from one another. They’re all still human, they all want to live, and they all want to turn their lives around. So dont feel weird empathizing/looking for the truth and good in these characters

@@BelBelle468 you can recognize evil actions for what they are, you can do that without excusing them while also looking at the motivations behind them. Ive been watching Breaking Bad recently which also focuses on the human side of things and is character driven, and people use similar excuses for the characters actions. 'theyre only human', 'they have good intentions', humans arent inherently good, and good intentions or wanting to survive doesnt excuse horrible actions. Im sure even if you look at Hitler, in his mind his intentions were good and his actions were just. The wanting to turn their lives around part though? guess the show will have to progress to see how that turns out

About the ninja lady background story, half of it is lie and half of it is true, but we need to wait until season 3(if this anime go it) to reveal her true background story

Not really, the root philosophy of buddhism and taoism is similar but they have their differences. It would be similar to saying christianism and Islam are the same when they are not.
