The LARGEST SCHITZEL CHALLENGE I have ever seen! Today we are taking on the "Boss" German schnitzel challenge in Nashville TN at Bavarian Bierhaus. This giant food challenge had our choice of pork schnitzel and/or chicken schnitzel, and came with a variety of sides including spätzle, gherkins (pickles), sauerkraut and cabbage. Schnitzel is a fried chicken or fried pork (or any meat fried), so I suppose you could call this a fried chicken challenge or fried pork challenge also! These items appear across many regions including German schnitzel, Australian schnitzel, and in American cuisine more often called fried chicken, pork steaks or pork tenderloins, chicken fried steaks, fried steaks, etc! We had 45 minutes to complete the Nashville food challenge for the prizes, the $170 meal for free and a free beer. Located at the Opry Mills (right by the grand ole opry) this place is surprisingly locally owned and operated vs most the businesses in the very popular tourist shopping destination being huge nation wide / international stores and restaurants. This restaurant is also giant and has one of the biggest beer collections at a restaurant I have seen! This challenge had never been completed in the time limit

I'm half German and while living in Germany I can remember going to OMaw and OPaws house for dinner and eating a big beast like you have in front of you. They both passed away years ago and I haven't had and authentic German dish since. I must make it to Nashville to this spot, my mouth is watering lol OMG I'm sure I could finish this challenge 😅😅😅

I was born in Heidelberg, Germany when my dad was stationed there during the Berlin Airlift. All my gra is amd greats were born there. They all lived on farms in Poe, Indiana.

I have a German restaurant in my area. I LOVE the Weiner schnitzel, which is veal. It comes with choices, the red cabbage, spätzle, gravy, German potato salad, sauerkraut and a soup or salad. The soup is usually sauerkraut soup. I am of German ancestry, so I love this food. The town is named, New Ulm. So, you know, it is a German culture town. They have a brewery, and I love their seasonal, Octoberfest beer.

Holy cow! My mouth is watering. I live 70 miles southeast and, if I didn't dislike going to Nashville so much... well, I'll have to go. My mother in-law's family is pure German and I'm positive they've eaten there. Great video as always!

I’m not German or have any in me, but I love me a pork or chicken schnitzel, I make them once a week. But I pan fry them instead with gluten free breadcrumbs home made. The traditional schnitzel is venison. I love sauerkraut! I also make cucumber in vinegar.

Spaetzle was my favorite food as a child. My mother would make it every time we were sick and put it in chicken soup as the noodles. Between me and my siblings we were faking illnesses for years! ❤

I love your videos. The food looks amazing. I finished this wishing you had broken it into two separate videos. I feel like too much was fast forwarded to fit it all together. I love the reactions immediately after you take a bite, the building appreciation as you figure out the flavors and textures. That was kinda lost in this video. Even with that it was a great video. You are a beast. Wish I could eat even a quarter of the amount you do.

Food looked amazing. I love German food. My neighbor growing up as a child was german. She would invite me and my family for snitzel all the time. ❤ I am happy to have learned from my neighbors cooking. I LOVE purple prepared cabbage. I put it in sausages and even burgers. 😋🤤 I grow gerkins. I don't know how they got so big. I pick mine before they are the size of a looney. They are not as bitter when they are smaller.

@JoelHansen If you ever find yourself in Tyler, Texas, you need to eat at Jucys. They don't have a challenge, but I am convinced they make the best Burgers in Texas. And if you do go, make sure to get the onions rungs and complimentary spicy pinto beans in the crockpot by the front door window. You won't be disappointed. I would love to see a video of you eating there!

Love love love German food! Sauerkraut is one of my favorite foods. I’m so impressed that you have very few foods that you don’t care for… I’ve heard pancakes (although you like waffles) and macaroni and cheese. Is there anything else? I’m with you. I love pretty much everything. 😂
