Awesome layout. Love the black and white with just a little color. Your balloons are definitely worth lifting and the idea of using the squares for background. You always create uniquely and very inspirational. ❤❤❤

Oh my both layouts are amazing ! Love the quilted look you get on the birthday one and love the colours and half circles on the other one! The ink technique is wonderful with the layout. Love it 🥰

Thank you so much Josee. Playing with the small embossing folders is fun - and there is so much you can do with them. Inking up those balloons is a fabulous way for fast and very effective colouring.

Very nice!! I am still waiting for my order to be processed from the 1st March & as I ordered that thin-cut & those embossing folders among other things from the new catalogue, I just suddenly thought while you were speaking - what if my box is waiting to be filled with the items still coming... 😂 And I thought I would be head of the queue along with my sisters from Oz!! My order I placed this week was just all the items I have run low on & want to refill before its too late. In the meantime I am watching & waiting to see when the inks & refills come back as I still haven't completed the half dozen colours I wanted out of the new colours as they kept running out of either the ink pads or the ink refills. Also I still have my cardstock order to place before the 30th. Then I will be able to keep crafting for the next few years on what I have accumulated. I think I have been like a lot of others & put off buying things thinking that they would always be around & now suddenly the rug has been pulled out under our feet as they say...

Thank you so much Louise. Hope you get your order soon. It's always a bit of a wait for orders at the start of a new catalogue, and with the recent announcement there are a lot of orders to process. They have put on extra staff to cope - so hopefully you can be patient until you get y our new goodies.

I’m sure someone has already said this, but did you consider putting the embossing folder on the side of the strip? That way, there won’t be any overlap of the plastic folder. You should still be able to run it through the machine.

Thank you so much Arlene. Yes, there was another suggestion for that and I thank you so much for taking time to suggest it too. I need to try it that way - don't know why I didn't think of that. Hoping it will work!

Love both of your layouts. Janice you are so inspirational with your ideas and enthusiasm for all things crafting. Love the balloons and I discovered I have this set in my stash. Just wondering what glue you use? I have noticed some of the other CDT makers use a product called Barely There but it seems to be hard to find here in Australia and quite expensive. Can you recommend an alternative please?

Thank you so much Gillian. That balloon is such a great shape, so glad you have it in your stash and can make some easily coloured party balloons. I use Bearly Art Glue as well - it is so good! It is on the more expensive size, but I really only use it for fine detail where I need liquid glue and it lasts a long time. Well worth the extra expense as my first bottle lasted nearly a year! You don't need very much at all and it never gets clogged. There are quite a few websites that are Australian based that stock this glue. I would suggest comparing the prices and if you can, purchase the refill bottle at the same time.

@@gillianhinds3637 Good luck with your search. I was hesitant at first because of the price - but you can use it very sparingly and it lasts and is soooo good!

Love this layout. What size photos are on these pages?

Thank you Janelle. As shown in the video all the photos have sizes printed on them and these ones are all true to size for the birthday layout. For the Ocean layout, the photo mats are all true photo sizes - and the photos are trimmed slightly smaller.

Maybe try embossing from bottom of the paper first and work your way up, also have the piece you have embossed hanging over the edge so you have no pressure on the piece you have done?

Thank you so much Jane. Working my way up didn't work either and I did have the embossed area hanging off. However, there is a suggestion here to work my way up the strip with the embossing folder sideways rather than feeding it through - so I'm going to give that a try for sure.
