After watching your video I realised I haven’t put the dates in my pages. Luckily I’ve only completed 3 pages. I didn’t take a photo every day.

The flap is a neat idea & yes, as time goes by you will see if it needs velcro but I suspect it won't. Nothing worse than having the unexpected happening & you spend the day at the hospital. I still remember my grandmother passing away on Christmas eve & the rush a day or two earlier to get my mother upto the hospital at Mudgee west of Sydney & so Christmas day 1959 was very different for us as we didn't have the cars of today nor was the house air-conditioned etc. My grandparents had a sheep property. All I remember is my Aunts bustling around cleaning out the place as my mother was the youngest of the family & so we were the last of the grandchildren born, so sadly it was the end of an era!! I have a feeling we may have had our Christmas celebration on New Years day before heading south to the beach for our annual holiday which would have only been 2 weeks instead of three.

I loved watching! Where do you get your 8 x 11 albums and page protectors. I love the 6 x 6 and seeing how flip Flaps work.
@JaniceGilhooley9 күн бұрын
Thank you so much Suzie. The 8x11 albums & page protectors I use are from Close To My Heart which has recently closed business. Stampin' Up! have brought over some of their products and they will be embracing scrapbooking and releasing memory protectors(page protectors) and flip flaps iin the future. I am hopeful they will continue the 8.5 x 11 range as I love scrapbooking that size and would love them to embrace the 6x6 size as well.

@@suziejewell3 I love scrapbooking in 8x11 albums. They are a wonderful size to record memories, easy to flip through, and for some reason a whole lot of fun to create in. I do love 12x12 - but 8x11 just seem the perfect size for a lot of projects now my "kids" are grown.

I love that photo you ended up putting on the top right side of the second page. I wanted to go through the archway & down the pathway to see where it went! They are two lovely pages of photos. I love springtime flowers & it bought back happy memories of my trips to Tasmania in the late spring. I made myself a zig zag photo folder that sits up on my shelf so that I can enjoy all the different flowers I saw on my trips. I also have an album of my gardens from my old home as well as flowers I have grown in pots here where I presently live!! My daughter bought me a deep purple hyacinth in flower today from the garden centre to enjoy which was very nice of her!!

Love this layout, and your hint about the crochet hook is brilliant! I also like what you did with the tags, it just looked a whole lot better when you put the second tag under the first one, if that makes sense. I also find it hard to cut into favourite sheets of paper but I’ll take your advice and start using them. Thanks for a great video from a fellow aussie! 🥰

It can be so hard to cut into the paper you put away for something special. We need to use them rather than hiding them away - which I am so guilty of doing.
