World Cup Finals in Maryland was one of the most destructive and amazing weekends for Odom Racing. Quarter mile runs are the fastest and they wreak havoc on these cars. Our GTR was pushed to the absolute limit to lay down high five second passes at over 230 miles per hour! These No Prep Kings cars were not designed to go this distance, and many said we’d fail. Huge props to our mechanical team and Jim Howe for keeping us in the competition until the end! Watch to see how we do and let us know what you think about the full quarter mile passes.
These No Prep Kings cars are designed to go one eighth of a mile, and a full 1320 feet really pushes the limits of these cars. Jeff Lutz lost both of his parachutes in a near-catastrophic accident, and Jim Howe broke a rear end. These are things that hardly ever happen during the filming of Street Outlaws. The extra 30-40 miles per hour is enough to test the limits of the eighth mile cars.
