This is the last track on the Metal Galaxy album released in 2019, so vocals are just Su and Moa - the third girl on stage is one of the Avengers and their role is only to dance, no vocals from them. Yes you should feel uplifted from this song - it is all about hope, moving on and looking to a better tomorrow and great things to come. 'Arkadia' is actually the third song of what is known as the "Trilogy of Lights" - the last three songs on the album which together describe the stages of mourning we go through after losing somebody close. The first song is 'Starlight' which is about the initial grief and pain. It was released on the same day that Yui announced she would be leaving the band and is considered by many (although this was never stated officially) to be a tribute to Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka (RIP) who died after falling from an observation deck while stargazing, but it may also be a tribute to Yui - as I said, nothing to confirm these thoughts has ever been said by anybody associated with BABYMETAL. The second song is 'Shine' which is about coming to terms and acceptance and, if we are talking favourite songs, this one is (probably) my favourite from this album. It is just beautiful and Su's vocals soar with Moa's harmonies just working perfectly. You can find excellent live performances of all three of the Trilogy of Lights on the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel. I would recommend the Black Night Carnival video for 'Starlight' and the Legend M video for 'Shine' ... that one is really special, it has just Su and Moa on stage and there is an added surprise for you at the start of the song - you can see what that is for yourself.

Last instalment of the Trilogy of Lights from Babymetal Metal Galaxy Album. Arkadia resembles Road of Resistance in many ways, Fast pace with positive lyrics. A masterpiece the way it's connected to each other. Listening to Starlight and Shine make me remember Mikio Fujioka and Yuimetal. Starlight is about remembering, Shine is about acceptance and Arkadia is about looking forward to the future and never looking back. ⚡ 💕 / 🌟 ✨ That treadmill thing is something a fan made up. The members have said that they do core training when they're getting ready to go on tour, but they have never said anything about Su singing on a treadmill. They have talked about Su's ability to change the way she's singing depending on the dancing required, and even the altitude of the venue.

Nice & welcome back & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is a compilation from 4 shows (1 in USA + 3 in Japan). Avengers (= support dancers) in this video are Kano and mostly Riho. The audio is from the performance at the Forum, LA, so the instrumental players were West (American) Kamis. This powerful drummer has not been identified officially, but, of course, fans figured out who he was. Anthony BARONE is one of my favorite drummers now. Everything about this song and "Trilogy of Lights" was explained by Grington300 300 below. To my regret, this song has not been performed in any of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan concerts held in January through April this year. I look forward to seeing it someday at the venue.

And it would me my number one if two of their huge classics never existed. But some day... who knows! I love all about this: the tempo, the choreo, the vocals, the melodies, the guitar work... the drums, those freaking drums!! All the harmonies and the backing vocals are provided by Moa since the Avengers have no mics. Some of them are obviously on a backing track. And yes, she is amazing! Until next time!

Nice reaction. Sadly it's only two of them singing since Yui left. The harmonies is a combination of Su, Moa and a harmony mic effect. The drums a just crazy in this song. Let's listen to that again. Ok yup still amazing. Arkadia is a great tune. It's great driving tune. Makes me feel like I'm going someplace special.

While this is very current it is a compilation of 4 shows (the different stage platforms give that away). However these are the last big live concerts pre COVID in 2019/2020 as part of the new album (Metal Galaxy) tour. This song Arkadia is the final of three songs referred to as the Triology of Lights (Starlight, Shine and Arkadia) and have a deep meaning to the band and fans. Sadly our beloved Yui-chan (YUIMETAL) had left the band in 2018 due to health reasons so only MOAMETAL now is backing SU-METAL. The third dancer (referred to as an Avenger is one of three dancers who rotate - I am pretty sure all three appear in the compliation - definitely saw Riho (Sayashi) and the baby of the three Kano (Fujihira) there. Iam not sure if Momoko (Okazaki) was in the compilation. The Avengers only dance (well they do sing along often but do not have mics). The backing vocals feature both Su and Moa parts to enhance their live vocals.

A characteristic of Su-METAL is that she can bend her fingers in the opposite direction. It leads to her expressiveness. This song has a high-quality version edited by fans, so please listen to it once.

Arkadia is part of the unofficial fans called "Trilogy Of Lights", i noticed is an underrated song and many don't really like it, perhaps many of them are not really into power metal songs and they might think Road Of Resistance or Ijime Dame Zettai are enough to dig it, anyway i don't care, i like it. Song was used as and ending show, but sometimes it was used as an opener like in the "The Sun Also Rises" live concert in which they introduced the avengers system. To be completely honest, it‘s uncertain how much of these harmonies is live. The Avenger is certainly not singing, they don‘t even have a mic. I think I can hear Moa‘s voice in the harmonies, but I would assume that it‘s coming from a backing track, with all the dancing she is doing hear. Although I must admit that Su is having quite a lot of dance parts in this song, too. During other songs in their 2019 / 2020 track lists (like Karate), I‘m pretty sure that Moa sang live. I think it varies from song to song. My guess is that she does do the ainote / crowd interaction parts (which are usually more like chants) live, while the more "dangerous" harmonies are played back from a track. I might be completely wrong, though.

That is the Western Kami Band. Those are not Japanese people. That is the audio from the Forum in LA. The Western Kamis are all the guitar players from 'Galactic Empire' plus Anthony Barrone the drummer from a metalcore band. Galactic Empire opened for Babymetal in the past. I think Jimmy is taking sides and saying that the Western Kamis sound better :) JK
