@@artistmikelmato7159 … he predicted the coming collapse of the US Empire years ago e.g. in «Reinventing Collapse - The Soviet Example and American Prospects», published in 2008. In a piece in The New Yorker the author stated that Orlov describes "superpower collapse soup" common to both the U.S. and the Soviet Union: "a severe shortfall in the production of crude oil, a worsening foreign-trade deficit, an oversized military budget, and crippling foreign debt".

True, Russia won great victories against Napoleon and Hitler. It is also true that Russia was in alliance with some European countries during those wars. Now the situation is different. Russia has no ally in Europe. Russia is vulnerable unless it gets an alliance from China. In the absence of such alliance, NATO is too big for Russia in a conventional war. This means the probability of nuclear war is high. May the gods save humanity.

I heard that, after Russia finishes off the Ukrainian military, they may have tentative plans to appoint Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych, the man who was deposed in the CIA-backed Ukrainian Maidan coup. I’ve had a special pleasure in his description of Georgia today, when he brought Georgian wine names, totally unknown in the USA. But…. I always keep 2 bottles of Khvanchkara and Kidzmarauli in my cellar for consumption- the best semi-sweet red wines wine connoisseur could think of. My meat and fish dishes are always prepared with Tkemali or Narsharab sauces. All of these Georgian little secrets are available in specialty stores around Chicago.
