NO SEW DOG JACKET
Up-cycle a fleecy pair of track pants or a fleecy sweatshirt jacket into a snug warm no sew dog jacket. Simply snip and wear -- your pup will feel snug and warm!
Tools
Scissors
Pins
Fleecy long Pants
Fleecy long Sleeved Jacket
Measure from top of tail to top of neck -- around chest area and girth.
Mark distance between front legs on fabric
Remove ribbed cuff unless its loose enough for head to fit through
If so you can simply roll it back a few times
Cut holes big enough for paws to fit through
Reposition fabric so side seams run along each side of your pup
Using back measurement cut fabric on an angle
Try the jacket on - it should be snug and allow freedom of movement
You can create this warm snug dog jacket from a long fleecy sleeve or a long fleecy pants leg.

Nice and easy, l never thought of cutting up old trackies although l think I’d sew the ends up. Love your babies the way they played at the end, still young enough to be funny and naughty. 🐾❤️🐾

Ciiiiuuuuutest doggies ever! Love how your pug plops down and sits and squirms when measuring him/her.. your toy poodle looks like a doll. My grandmother bred toy poodles. Well.. she studded her male. He was pure white named Frenchie.

Oh! Black pugs are a thousand times cuter than fawn ones! He is so adorable. This idea is great fun, even though our "little" dog is about 50 pounds. Still, I was just looking at a couple of old sweatshirts that will not see another winter after this one...hmmm. Thanks for this; I need to check out your other videos.

Oh I looked at your name and page. How cool. I started feeding my dog naturally some years ago when he developed a skin allergy the vet could not help. I took him off the kibble and fed him raw chicken and cooked veg (he didn't like raw veg, thank you) His skin cleared up and he was much happier for the rest of his life.

You and your video are terrific. I made a fleece coat out of a clearance-item pajama pants leg for my Westie. (That's his picture on the left.) With your instruction, it really was easy, but here's the surprising part. He's gotten so many compliments and I've had so many requests to know where to buy and then how to make it. Plus--surprising to me--he loves wearing it! Doesn't run in the opposite direction as he did with his prior winter coat. Thank you so much for posting.

WOW THIS IS AWESOME!!!! But i make some clothes like that you can also use a baby jacket like new born and cut the sleaves off and sew the raw tip down and bam you have the perfect jacket for your pup but if you have a bigger dog you can also use a bigger jacket and do the same thing.

Hi :-) Take the measurements of your dog length wise and around the tummy and get an idea of what would work. If the fabric is fleecy stretch then its fairly easy to be approximate. xxx Chris

Hi :-) Greg is a small sized Pug breed dog but the good thing is you can choose the right size sweater for your dog. Your puppy will grow into this size but in the meantime you can make a smaller one. Maltese puppies are adorable :-) Chris

Hi Harvey - yes you could but it would depend on the size of the shirt to fit the dog size. you could also use large size track pants leg for a larger dog.
