❤ Of all the different videos I've watched I have to say this is the only one, & the most flattering one too of adding a beautiful bow in the back of the tutu which just gives it that lil extra girly touch! Superb job!

You'll need to measure the child and make more than one template or make a template for the longer tulle skirt.

I made one for a 1 month old and I cut my tulle 14" long because I folded in half and tied to my ribbon/elastic headband.

Hey hun how long it the cardboard peice? What are the measurements of it?? I have a 4 month old and i want to make her a tutu

The cardboard piece should be the length of the skirt plus 1/2". Measure from her waist to where you want the skirt to hit. I reccomend below the knees to cover her diaper. Hopefully this helps, please let me know if you need clarification.

How many times did you wrap the ribbon around the red tutu?

I use the back of the stretch headband to weave the ribbon like a corset. I believe I weaved it through 3 or 4 times on each side...it was like tying shoe laces.

+carolina sanchez As an example: If you need to cut 24" long strips of tulle, your board should be half that measurement. Just remember that you'll be fold the strip in half and tying it, so you will lose about .5 inches from the length. Making your final skirt length roughly 11.5" inches long.

For that size, the finished skirt length should be 8"-9" inches. That means your template should be 9"-10" inches in length. I hope this helps :)

For the lace up tutu, I measured my daughter's waist and made it an inch smaller. You can buy the headbands as one piece. They are usually with the baby items in the craft store. Or you can get the material by the yard.
