Quick Tip : The camp you run past at 28:36 has a Nascent Tar (2500 tar) in a chest behind some logs you need to hit and clear. It's very close by to the Fallgrim Tower so you don't need to farm the 2500 tar at the beginning of the game.

I came here for the final boss tips, and left with the achievements. Thanks so much. My only tips for anyone else: 1) Whenever he jumps back and spawns the waves, de-lock your aim (this stops the wild camera swing if he attacks mid wave-dodge), immediately sprint forwards and spam roll through them, ignore whatever attack he tries until you're safely clear of the waves and have time to reset yourself and re-lock on. You don't really have to time your rolls through each wave, just go for it. 2) For the adds that spawn I just de-locked from the boss and spam rolled in a circle around around them once they'd got closer together and that grouped them up nicely for the RB/R1 slice then immediately harden. Let them release you and your hardened attack immediately wipes them. The spam rolling also negates any attacks the boss might throw at you whilst you're running evading the adds. 3)Whenever he launches himself in the air, just spam roll until he's landed and you're clear and you're safe to re-lock-on. 4) If you down his head by regular strikes, dodge away as instructed in the video. If you down his head from the special attack RB&LB/R1&L1 then you can stay put, the attack animation protects you from damage and you can immediately start wailing on him. Thanks again brother.

With Crucix the Twiceborn the best method that u can do to avoid his projectiles(arrows),is to just harden your self and to wait for him to finish his attacks. After 10 arrows about , he will stop and continues his melee attacks.

Top tier guide, as usual. Finally got the platinum! Not gonna lie, I kind of fell in love with this game, I really hope the developers make a new, bigger game with more bosses, etc.

I found a very good way to deal with the jumpers at +5 hallowed sword. R2 and harden so the attack animation is almost done. The sword should be very close to it's furthest point from you and lock on to an approaching enemy. They usually take 40 damage when walking into the sword and another 40 after breaking the harden.

For all those playing on the enhanced edition.. A literal life-saving tip for the dark one is to harden mid-swing during the swarm and they will literally kill themselves by running into your sword.

Casually watching the experienced play, you really learn some essential tips... I did not know that rolling cancels out fire damage.. lol

As of the current version, with Tarsus 6 R1s during his ritual attack in the first phase does not stagger him, and they've also patched it to break your harden. He also does not take tick damage from the flame spike (in the rare event that it can even connect to a stationary target). This game at one point I guess was decent, but it now breaks its own rules, which is just shitty and shallow.

I like how the twin born when you stun lock him and can still shoot the crossbow through his back. Wtf

Hey man, thank you very much for this run, thanks to you I managed to obtain the platinum (since obsidian mode and no shell were the last two trophies I needed). The last boss took me over 2 hours to beat in this mode! I actually managed to be more agressive than you showed in your video; after the swipe I'd hit three times, harden, hit 3 times again, dodge, hit again and then he'd fall down and I kept him down for a little while using the weapon ability. In my winning run his health was down to about a third before he whirlpooled, and fortunately I managed it so he didn't absorb much health back. The real challenge was when the skeletons came running at me as a group, which got me on so many tries. I'm just glad it's all over now, even if I adored my time with this game. Thanks so much again!!

Note: there are some differences in enemy behaviour in this version, probably due to the fact the game received some patches after this guide was done. Especially the final boss, couldn't prevent him from spawning minions at least twice, it was a loooong fight

Quick tip for players trying to get Forever Alone trophy / achievement do NOT go to far from the perimeter of this boss fight it's an instant death.

What you want to do instead, during the unchained fight when he sends his minions is first shepherd them into one group *then attack and harden at the same time* and as they jump at you, they all casually die.

ive been putting off this achievement for months because in my opinion, the game is good but it isnt finished. it has a lot of flaws. animations, enemy placements, level design makes this run frustrating. however, this guide made it much more barable and fun. thank you :)

Ill say you can get a free 2500 thingy in a chest early! But also, never run ever in the mist, just roll dont even walk much as if you sprint you sprint into there attack rolling they effectively become a joke its great :o! the boss guide so far have been great!

Just as a tip, quitting the game right as you die and restarting keeps all enemies you killed dead while respawning at your checkpoint, helps with those areas where you have multiple archers

Done and done, during last fight, whenever he sends minions after you, just get them all bunched, get a bit of space, lock on to the front runner and use the normal first R2 attack, as it is extended, harden. They'll all just dive straight onto your sword. Great guide fella, i'd have never played a second playthrough had I not seen this video and well. I think I might go have a go with Tiel now that I can dodge like a master. Also, you sound a bit like Simon Pegg, enjoy that info. Haha, ta buddy.

I reached Tarsus, the winter boss, almost without dying. Qualifying him as the easiest is overrated, I’m doing now my 30rd trial, still without success. After more than 30 trials I got Tarsus. The final boss was much more simpler, a very long fight, but just a few trials.

I don't like talking to sester in the fire and ice area cause the run back to boss is not that far both you can reach in 2 bars of stamina and then you can just use the tarnished mask to get back painless but the obsidian area i do take sesters cause it is far and the run back is pretty easy you can get back in 1 bar of stamina Some tips were helpful for the last boss but they've patched him now he can't be stunlocked and throws too many mobs i had the resole offering and i already had 4 ticks of resolve and i used golden bell had the resolve but boss has s now (unchained) Over all it was much easier to get these trophies then i thought Also on the mobs in last boss they all do jump attacks which are very easy to parry if you use the 3rd type of parry you can kill all the guys in 1 parry 👋👍

With the proper timing of spike attacks you can essentially stun-lock the Unchained for the entire second phase of the fight, thus avoiding those annoying black dudes. The Golden Bell helps building the resolve, but it's also possible without it. The key is not standing right in front of him when he drops his head so that you can continuously attack (preferably with a R1-R1-R2 combo or something like that) and build the resolve meter. Ideally you should be able to build two stacks then use the spike as he tries plunging into the water. Repeat this until the end. Does not work always, but eventually it does.

Do you know if you can get the axatana in obsidian form without messing up your shell-less playthrough? I beat hadren then warped back to base with the mask to not attempt to enter the DLC shell and that led to me apparently not being able to use the axatana. It does let me rechallenge the boss however.

Damn I dont know did they add more mob waves to Unchained at DLC patch or something but that gave me a headache. I have not seen more than the "healing" mob wave before more waves appear in any of the older videos.

You know.....this difficulty make me wonder of this game devs sanity and how they get this job.

Is the Seat of Infinity supposed to be the second dungeon? I notice when fast traveling it's listed second but it feels like it's the hardest dungeon by a wide margin.

When the persons appear, collect them like he did but do a jump attack and harden in the air instead. Much better strategy! Peace out I got my plat.
