There are 19 Inscriptions and 17 Etchings that make up the secret lore in Mortal Shell. You need to find all of them for the Seeker of False Truths Trophy / Achievment. Three of them are 'missable' and have been marked as such below.

The best video out there for this. I did this with the ornate mask just before the final boss. Fast travel and 2 steps back makes this a breeze

Thank you mate. Great guide. All I needed was lore and spend 50,000 at the shop and then the game completely wiped my whole data. Was NG+. About 26 hours played. Cant believe it. Highly advise people to upload to cloud regularly.

Inscription #8 is also missable. If you've killed the boss, the teleporter to get you to that side is blocked. And so are the big stairs leading down to the braziers.

Finally got into this game, MAN this isn’t bad at all! Very nice (maybe some complaints cause after killing Slave Knight Gael it was just... What a PERFECT showdown for Dark Souls) But I love this game. THANK YOU for the work on your vids m8! Another banger of a vid, think the way you did it is 100% what i wanted as the overworld is very maze like. Also for headphone users 7:53 the Knight from the other room WILL follow you, and if youre tabbed too the video, scare the piss out off you with a loud slash through the wall.

I just started playing the game but I want to ask something before I get further into the game. For trophy to discover all items, will I need a guide? Are there only one or two of a specific item? Just want to make sure, anyway good work on this guide. I'll use it as I progress through the game.

very curious how you find all these? theres no way in hell youre spamming sword strikes into walls to find these. is there any rhyme or reason to those being there? is there some sort of navigation to finding these alone? i would of literally found 0 of these.

the ledge or step you drop down to defeat the grisha can be traversed right back up it. either to the left kind of or the right of the step

I first thought you couldn't climb back out too. The ice slope that appears after the Grisha can be climb up if you press along the wall on the right side of the slope along the wall. That always allowed me to get back up into the catacombs after defeating the Grisha.

If you know the streamer LobosJr, he got to that point of no return and he didn't agree with that being the case, so he found a way to run up the side of a wall in a very unintended way and after much trial and error managed to land back up on the ledge and be able to backtrack.

If you talk to the sister she has a travel option to go to other awakened sisters, I’m not sure if you need the ornate first to access it though

Thanks man. I didnt know about them until checking the lore tab to see i missed an entire section of lore. There is literally no clue whatsoever about these etchings right? Like maybe get lucky hitting the walls in a fight?

The trophy popped when I had all 17 Etchings (was still missing 7 Inscriptions). Maybe only Etchings count as Lore for the trophy?

I'm not sure if it was a glitch or not but i got the trophy after unlocking all etchings but still having some inscriptions left. Could "secret lore" possibly refer to etchings only?

Isnt a glitch, is how it works for European version for sure. Trophy unlocks if u find all etchings, inscriprions doesnt required.

Btw only the etchings count as secret lore and you also only need them for the trophy. The inscriptions are not necessary

This also helped me on the ps5 version as well so thanks again. Ps also in the ice temple they may have updated it because you can get out without beating the boss... there's a ramp

If there is no visual indicator how are you supposed to know where wall etchings are to begin with? Did you literally go through the whole game hitting walls every couple feet until one pops up?

thanks alot. you cant escape the Crypt of martyrs once you defeat the "mini" boss, after that you cant go back,because you cant climb up, the 2 iron bars spawn after you defeat the main boss and you have to return back with the nectar. i made the mistake to go that boss without upgrades and just the short sword....mega mistake. you can use one of the "return home" w/e the name is item, to return to the last lady you visit....but if you talk to the lady in the frost area yo uare locked.

I was stuck. Found a way to glitch through the scenery to escape without killing the main boss. Check out LobosJr's video (playthrough part 1, at approx 5:30 - he does it). Takes ages to get right though.
