Hey can I ask how she qualified? I don’t know how it works in China and if it’s via nationals? I can’t seem to find the information and/or don’t know how to find them

uriah prior there were 2 test in August and September, she didn’t do well in the 2nd test but came 3rd aa in the last test. You could say that she was added to the team in last minute. The nationals is supposed to be a test event too but she didn’t compete due to injury recovery.

@@Olympics Yes, it is a scary sport. But as a gymnast myself, I can tell you it is not normal to come that close to the edge of the vault platform. The gymnast's hands should be on top of the vault and in the middle, on that particular skill.

I wish she had sat out the Pan American games. It would have meant she was less burnt out when prepping for Worlds. And look at Riley and Shilese. The schedule this year for all of the gymnasts was unnecessarily busy.

@@MD-722 i know you didn't ask me but as much as i dont want to say it, china and us doesnt really need lele or morgi. Morgan's main events are Bars and AA but the us have better and more consistent options. And for lele, while she does have the highest BB d score in the world, they dont exactly need it as when their juniors turn senior next year, china will have a total of two 6.8, one 6.7 and one 6.6 which are some of the highest d scores. But for gelya, russia needs her experience and consistency(even if she isnt that consistent)

@@Nicole-db2ub I believe we need to see what will happen with Morgan. Its not over until its over. As for Melnikova she's had an incredible growth in these 2 years and I think we can say that now she is one of the most consistent female gymnasts. Unbelievable how she went from falling in every routine to hitting everything.

@@Nicole-db2ubThree weeks later and sorry for the late reply, but without further ado! In the case of Chen, I really do think it will be down to how well she recovers from injury. After having watched this year's world championships where we saw the spectacular break-out performance of Tang Xijin, but via the withdrawal of Liu TingTing. I really think it will be matter of just whatever will be for the girls of the Chinese team. But in the case of Hurd. People really need to lay of doubting this girl and actually look at her track record. She has 5 world championships medals, two of which are all-around medals, with silvers on floor and beam. This alongside her participation in this summer's competition marathon has actually made her one of the most decorated and experienced gymnasts on the U.S. team. No she hasn't had the greatest year, but with her current credentials, filming this series and this summer's marathon, I don't blame her for downgrading and even sitting out worlds, she had the least to prove. Because another thing about Hurd is that she tends to peak in the last minute. So if she paces herself and trains smart, I absolutely see her going making the Tokyo team next year.

Never say never but I guess you are right, especially with how dense the field is in the US. They all have to be on top of their game all the time, it's crazy

Not necessarily! Yes, Morgan's been inconsistnt lately, but the Olympics is still nearly a year off, anything can happen. And since she had the Classics, Pan Am Games and Nationals in such quick succession, I think she was just worn out. I hope that in a way, missing Worlds will be good for her, so she can rest up, train well, and come back with a bang.

La pelea hoy en dia es por el primer y segundo lugar, que tambien son muy importantes, porque no todos los días ganas una medalla mundial o olimpica. Lo interesante es que la competencia por esos lugares es mucha y cualquiera puede ganar depende si tiene un buen dia o no. Ya para los fans el primer lugar siempre va a estar ocupado por Simone con la excepción de viga o asimetricas que no se sabe.
