Yile and Morgan both seem happier and healthier this episode which brings me some relief. I hope to see them all at the Olympics!

idk if i’m the only one that noticed, but Chen is always with her teammates, and Morgan is with her friends. Gelya is usually alone....not a bad thing, but i wonder why. just interesting to me.

I think it has to do with filming of each episode/segment around busy training schedules - plus three very different cultures. It is really interesting to see inside Russia and China's streamlined way of training and housing all the countries athletes in the same place/city.

i wonder if it’s because of the filming rules at round lake? i know like back years ago filming wouldn’t be allowed so maybe they film on their own time so it doesn’t interfiere with other gymnasts? idk just a thought

I feel like gymnasts dont really get any amusement at amusement parks since theyre so used to flipping and twisting so much.

It seems that in the states the girls train at their prospective gyms and only come together as a national team for camps and competitions whereas as in places like China and Russia they actually have something like an Olympic Village where they live year round in these apartments. Had no clue… I felt bad when Lele said she hadn’t physically seen her family in 2 years.🙁

I was a 2 time world champion in a certain Sport and their strength training regiment is almost unbelievable and I was one that could press up into a handstand on three fingers on a skateboard

He is not going to be the on floor coach at the olymipics because the younger juniors coming through are used to another, but he is still a big coach for the russian team.

PS: You cannot see their great all from outer space. It makes me mad when teachers teach that to kids.

Why we're still telling children that the Great Wall can be seen from outer space when this myth was (obviously and rightfully) denied a long while ago? I'm so disappointed in things like this. If you are a teacher, your mission is always trying to EDUCATE your pupils as best as you can and that means that you should always be not spreading lies all along.

Angelina Melnikova is not going to make it to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, she seems a bit burnt out on the sport considering the modeling she's been doing since the last Olympics in 2016 which has taken its toll on her.. She's really not that good.. Aliya Mustafina can beat her anytime!

At the time, not really. Alya hasn't been in the gym consistently lately (and that's good for her, not criticizing, she totally deserved that) while Gelya is an all-around world medalist. I don't know why you would say she is unlikely to make the team, she's probably Russia's lock at the moment

Lmao what, mustafina isnt even in shape and melnikova did very well in worlds last year , she can make thenteam easily considering russia doesnt have that much depth

Actually, Angelina improved a lot and it showed in the last Worlds where she double medaled individually. She will be a fix for the next Olympics for sure and if she can stay focused on her task she has a good chance to medal there too.
