This is the second time I've used this new planter and now I have it dialed in much more than the first time... Watch as I plant several new NO TILL corn food plots in weedy areas. Subscribe to follow my food plotting and many other Land Management practices that I do nearly daily.

You might consider bush hogging just before you plant so the new seed has a chance to get some height before it is shaded out by the native grass and weeds. Like where you moved the stand and you have great visibility over a lot of ground.

Kudos on the tuned up Allis Chalmers planter !! From the video it looks to be performing well, you should be very pleased and hopefully you get some good crop for the deer.... 2 thumbs up from here on the production, quality, and narrative of your latest adventure !!

just an idea,wd 40 or u have used motor oil,oil the chains on the planter,looks like u still have AC orange on them

The planter did great with corn! But the deer devoured it too soon! LOL. Good luck!

Could you not add the drag to the back of the planter when you're planting areas where you've previously applied round-up? It would do 2 jobs with one pass then.

That is simplest little planter I've ever seen !! Was that an old 4 or 8 row planter you just cut down ? Or you built it from scratch,,, 👍

Yes you are correct, they buy big ones and chop them down for small farmers and food plotters and such.

I sold this 2 row and now I have the same planter in a 4 row. It is a great planter for sure thanks.

@@kapperoutdoors.Have you had any issues with thw soil blocking the seed hole or just when it was muddy out..Thank you. Dan

@@dan2496 yes as a matter of fact I did and I fabricated some steel tabs to help prevent that. Haven't tried them out yet I did it over the winter time. But you got to use it in dirt that's not excessively wet. Thanks

@@kapperoutdoors yes I seen that fab you did with the re rod looks like might do the job.. I just picked up a two row ac today that's been refurbished.Was going to get a 4 row but the 2 was closer to me and redone so I know it should run smooth.I also got a 290 2 row and I seen you had one also..It doesn't cover the seed when soil is to wet..But not a bad planter if don't have a tractor and can pull with whatever one has..The jd plates work on the AC as well... Dan
