Hello, teacher! You have explained that there is difference in the meaning when we used "no" and "not any". In that case when we use "no", the sentence sounds more urgent. And what about the "no" x "not a" ? Is there difference in the meaning between using "no" and "not a" in the same sentences?. Examples: There is no problem There is not a problem There is no reason There is not a reason

What is the difference of It is no fair and it is not fair??
@AntoniaRomaker5 жыл бұрын
no fair is quite colloquial, so not fair is a better choice. Not fair is used within a sentence or alone, and no fair is mostly used alone.

Kindly brief why No is used in starting of sentences sometimes, ie,NO wrong has been committed by him,this structure of sentence is also correct.
@AntoniaRomaker6 жыл бұрын
I would say that 'wrong' in this sentence is a noun, so it's fine.
