I've never heard of Noah Gunderson. I was browsing KZfaq and came across this video. Round Here is one of my favorite songs so I checked it out, and omg! He fucking killed it. It was one of those performances that sent chills down my spine. Probably one of the best versions I've heard. I'm now a fan.

August And Everything After was such a huge part of my teenage experience. I’ve known every lyric since it entered into my ears, heart, and soul in ‘93 and I expect I’ll be able to recite it on my deathbed. It’s one of those songs and albums that immediately transports you back. For me, it sends me back to the best years of my life. The innocent and carefree years of eternal summers. Noah knocks this out of the park, and then some. I feel like I’ve been given a gift. Thank you.

Rare to see someone cover a song and you can feel the reverence and passion for the original. Round Here is such a powerful song backed by one of the most unique and powerful voices of my generations. This cover certainly did both of those justice. Outstanding.

Listened to my dad's CD collection as a kid. Green Day, Sublime, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, The Fray, Counting Crows and more. This brought me all the way back to that, not really knowing what the lyrics ment but knowing every word. Thanks dad for teaching me about music, even if you didn't know you were teaching me.

Gonna have to say….i wouldn’t put The Fray in quite the same music era. But still a good band. Hung out them for a little bit in early 2000’s in Denver, CO when I worked at a jazz club across from one of their apartments. It was right before they made it big. Pretty cool dudes.

Good God. How have I slept on this dude? My cousins told me about him and now I need to dive in. BARELY ANY songwriters have this dudes passion, you can see it almost the entire video he’s fighting back tears as he’s singing. I think in part because we realize these people covering the songs where influenced by the music the same way we were So there is the extra emotional connection that we didn't write the song but instead experienced as a background to our own emotional experiences

Agreed, whole heartedly. Adam Duritz uses the imagery of a circus several times in the album and throughout his body of work....almost always in a melancholy way...if you haven't you should listen to "Raining in Baltimore"....ultimate sad bastard music, but effective and amazing.

I listened to that CC album every night as I tried to sleep after going through my divorce. That was over twenty years ago. I don’t think I have heard this song since then, but this cover? As I close out the most perfect day celebrating my 48th birthday, I came across this song and performance. After a day filled with reflection and laughter, love and gratitude, there’s an emptiness where someone special is missing. Noah, you moved me to tears with your performance. Having graduated HS in 1994, I know this band, this era of music, but I didn’t know the depths of emotion in this song until you. It's the way I couldnt get through this song the first time I heard it. It's the way Adam penned feelings I've felt into words I'd never been able to express to anyone. Like decades of feeling this same thing with/for/against/because of someone. And here you are making it impossible to listen to it after hundreds, if not thousands of rotations over all of those years. It's stupid how much I love this song. I think it may be my favorite ever. But it's been the most consistent track in music. Its perfect. This cover is perfect. Thank you for taking me way back to that first time. I doubt you'll see this, but man, Noah. Thank you.

Incredible cover of one of my favorite songs growing up. With lyrics that inspired me to write my own, and led to “Did You Know” when I was 16 (1996). I’ve heard lots of covers of this song but none that moved me like that first time. None that sounded fresh and raw like this. Thanks Noah!

I'm so glad there's a pro quality video of this cover. A couple months ago I saw a shitty camera video of this cover (different show) and became obsessed. I thought it was one of the most breathtaking covers I'd ever seen. It's so obvious how personal it is and the style/arrangement is perfect. If I didn't already love this song I'd believe in a second you wrote it.

Absolutely beautiful cover. Probably one of the most emotive, vulnerable versions of the song I've heard. I'm also a big fan of Counting Crows, Adam's lyricism and the band's songwriting is legendary.
