Extremely Interesting. My program is quite similar to this one, expect for the fact that I cannot do double daily sesh. Great content! I have a question: How the load on the sled for acceleration days is distribuited throughout the season, from december to july? And based on %BW or % speed loss (VTB) ?
@RunnerUniverse
@RunnerUniverse 5 ай бұрын
Appreciate your comment @crazylongjumper95. We don't have much information about sled training, but I think Lance Brauman is a great advocate for the training principles of Charlie Francis' training. So, maybe he applies the same training structure with sleds to his athletes. If you're interested in this aspect, you can read Charlie Francis' training system and "Speed Trap"; it's available for free online.

In his gym work that’s writing bench press and front squat, so you said that he’s separate upper and lower body sessions ?
@RunnerUniverse
@RunnerUniverse 5 ай бұрын
Yes, I think Lance Brauman changed the way his athletes do weight training. In his training manual presented in 2007, he has his athletes perform upper and lower workouts separately. During the years when he coached Tyson Gay and Veronica Campbell, this was the approach. However, in the last two years, I believe the strength coach has made changes to the structure of this program, allowing certain types of workouts to be implemented on those two separate days.

all i do is 3x150, 10x40 meter sleds and plyos on my rest days tuesday/thursday. I like this weekly structure better it gives two days between sessions. Doing just those on monday/wednesday/friday i have improved greatly im running faster in my shoes than my teammates are in spikes lol

I am actually not sure if a 3m measurement is helpful at all. The first steps are somewhat preparing the following first acceleration phase and body type, levers and other biomechanical factors may not be utilized well after if you just want to "get to the 3m line as fast as possible" ...

Noah works out 5 hours per day???!!! Jesus. Bolt worked out 90 minutes per day. 5 hours is just abuse and contraindicative.
@RunnerUniverse
@RunnerUniverse 4 ай бұрын
A lot of these 5 hours are part of rest intervals so the main works are about 90min or 2 hours.. time pass fast when you hard training 2 sessions per day 🙏

There is no way in hell he is doing all of this. Sprinting every single day lol, even in late season before the “major” event. Monday 5x80m with blocks Tuesday 3x30, 1x120, 2x80, 4x60 Wednesday 4x100handoffs WITH A 400m ALL OUT! Thursday: blocks 3x30m 2x60m And on top of all of that you add weigths. This is just straight mental.
@mstrunn
@mstrunn 3 ай бұрын
@alexandruterpezan7910 The 400m ALL Out is not all out, it is called 400 the Hard Way, 10x 40m, with a walk back recovery at about 90%+ speed, no Coach in their right mind would ask for a 400 all out at the end of practice. This i a pro schedule which has a lot of volume, if one were to adapt this program cut down on the volume.

Is he really training that much right before a race? 4 days straight then competition? That doesnt make sense to me. Im referring to 8:14
@RunnerUniverse
@RunnerUniverse 3 ай бұрын
Competition season has different stages: Early, Mid, and Late. We believe that during the Late phase, the schedule becomes more flexible due to increased travel, jet lag, and races. So, during this time, they adjust the four-day period to accommodate these factors. However, in the Early and Mid phases, they stick to a consistent four-day cycle to prepare for the main race or championship.
@user-ze3sg6ix1u
@user-ze3sg6ix1u 3 ай бұрын
@@RunnerUniverse But how does that not create fatigue right before the race? how much faster are you really going to get training that frequently right before the race? From what i've seen (and done) it's mostly very low volume race modelling before a comp, maybe a couple sessions
@RunnerUniverse
@RunnerUniverse 3 ай бұрын
@@user-ze3sg6ix1u Noah needs this type of fatigue during this time of season , so he takes part in weekly meeting while his body not recoveried so well. Why? It's to prepare him for the ultimate goal, which is either the Olympics or World Championships. When you consider the number of races he's involved in during these championships - around 8-10 races, including the 100m, 200m, and relays.
