It makes more sense for you to put your faster. Athletes in the middle of the relay. Because you need to build app a lead if that's all you're looking at it and put the person that you think takes a longer time to build up anchor because you have already gained a lead from the first 3 athletes and you would just need to maintain that on the anchor.

@clipow It's crazy. I can c y youth all over the world r confused. On 1 hand, they r told 2 b themselves, but then they r compared 2 others & put down when they r not satisfactory n the eyes of others. I've learned early n life 2 live & let live. U will never please every1. As much as people want 2 represent a country, all of these athletes represent themselves once they hit the track. Win, lose, or draw, the hard work they put n makes 4 a gr8 race. The only real disappointment is when a fans favorite doesn't win. Reality is, no1 will win every race, no matter how humble or how hard they practice. I'm not a fan of Noah's antics & I'm from the US. But as a 45yr old man, I love that he's having fun & being himself. The kids & young fans adore him.

Noah's cockiness is just an act. I didn't like him or his cockiness at first but I have learned to accept it for what is. He is trying to speak the win into existence. He is trying to boost his own confidence. He's over the top with it but that is what he is trying to do, while trying shake the competitors off their game. If Noah loses, he won't just be devastated, h'd be crushed. Now if you knew me, you'd know that I always lean toward Jamaicans but in this instance, I kind of in the middle. P.S. Americans talk smack but that is what is taught over here. Play mind games, anything to get into the head of the competitor. Put on a show.

In the US, with the exception of the men’s and women’s 400m hurdles, you don’t really find too many athletes that are head and shoulders above the rest. Noah gave that illusion for a while with the 200m, but we quickly saw that there were other people who were right there with him… and that’s just in the US. The reason why I bring that up is because you mentioned that Gabby ran faster in the semis than she did in the finals (approx 34 minutes into the video). Because of the parity, everyone almost has to give their best effort just to make it out of trials. Speaking of trials, what happened to Athing Mu in the USA proves the fairness of the trials process. We’re not necessarily concerned with sending our best, but rather, mainly concerned with sending who shows up on the day (trials). Mu is clearly our best 800m runner as well as the defending Olympic champion and she won’t even have the opportunity to defend her title. Imagine if both Kishane and Oblique false started at the Jamaican trials and were thrown out of the race. Would Jamaica be satisfied with sending Ackeem Blake as the top guy even though he only ran 9.92 at trials?

The one thing I'll say regarding the 200m is that USATF did their athletes a disservice by how the scheduled the Olympic trials. Spacing out the 100 and 200 over two weekends does not mimic the olympics schedule and you want to use trials to prepare the athletes for similar conditions to the championships. Noah's biggest risk in the 200m will be his exertion in the 100m. Will he have the legs in the 200m after the 100m. The dark horse for me is Tobogo who already ran multiple 400m and broke the 300m WR so we know he's stronger this year. Then there is Kung Fu Kenny but Tebogo is my dark horse for the 200m if Noah doesn't win it.

All of this talk about being humble becomes asinine after a while. We don't know any of these people 2 know if they r genuinely humble. 2 assume some1 is humble bc they r quiet is ridiculous. 2 say some1 won bc they were quiet is borderline stupid. They won bc they were better that day. Most of the runners that r quiet & come n dead last. I'm not a huge fan of the trash talk, but it keeps eyes on track & field. Being quiet & winning alone doesn't bring eyes 2 track n the US. No matter who wins n this yrs Olympics, they can say they worked hard & the competition is stacked.
