Just imagine 35 years ago, the owners, family and their friends were enjoying this home that would have been out of town at the time, it'd have been their acreage. No traffic, able to see the stars at night, no noise aside from wildlife... Now it's just another victim of greedy development. Makes me sad as hell. In fact, it chaps my hide and sours my grapes.

It's interesting, but that's just a regular size house, not a mansion. It's sad people have to go in these houses and vandalize and destroy them. Why can't someone catch them and make them pay for the damage?

Yeah. That's a mansion style house if this was in the UK 🙂 when Noah said that's a nice little living room... I thought that's the size of a small apartment in the UK. Tiny island of a few countries so less toom for building as land expensive. I can't get over how big the houses are in USA and Canada 😎

There should be a program where they sell them for a dollar and give the new owners a year to fix them and live in them. Then the cities can start making money on the taxes of the houses. So many people looking for housing and all these abandoned homes. Even homes for the homeless get them off the streets. Families that have loss their places due to the pandemic. The cities need to start thinking more wisely.

I LOVE ❤️ the windows, the stationary tub and the staircase along with the jacuzzi tub, the house would have been gorgeous in it's time and I like to envision it that way.

When I see these houses I think of the children laughing and running around, the mom cooking and the dad reading the newspaper. As they grow older and the kids are gone, the elderly couple having coffee and conversing about the news. Then people come and start ruining it.

The electric is left on so that the sump pump will work, otherwise the basement would flood, causing mold throughout the house.

This was an awesome fine Noah. I too don't why people have to disrespect someone elses properly even though it's being demolished. It would've been a great place to live in plus good size lot.

They probably sold it to a builder so the builder could use the land. Also the ex homeowners might already have a next house they’d want to live in and be moved into by that point

I saw Ethans video of that house and he was surprised to see that the sub pump was not flooding the basement yet because of the power was cut. Usually when power is cut to a abandoned house with a sub pump the water from the sub pump will start to flood the basement slowly.

The power was still on because of the sump pumps in the basement , many houses that were built with basement lower than storm sewer ,thus sump pump needed. If power was to be turned off basement would be a pool !

You ask why the power is still on? It's so you can have the proper light to document the place! Actually I think they leave the lights on so people think someone is still living there. The vandals struck anyway just for the sake of destroying! The only reason they didn't smash many of the light fixtures is because they needed light to see what they were destroying. Interesting place though!

These homes were built to last. Not really a mansion, but hard working people that took pride in having acreage and a homestead for extended family. Thanks for sharing. Anyway you can turn out the lights so that it doesn’t trap night insects.

Nice place, well thought out. However, I can see why a developer brought it and is going to demolish it. From your drone footage, you can see a massive housing estate just opposite. Probably going to build another one on that land too.

umm some of it isnt kids that smash nice things...alot of it is grown ass adults that definitely know better..the blood in the kitchen is prob from someone that punched that glass cabinet door
