Obama broke barriers, he set examples on how to...in a world that's dominated by mostly white people. That in itself is worthy of any prize.

This could not be more wrong. The point of the peace prize is to reward efforts of peace. And the truth is that larger countries have a larger influence. And in recent years representatives of smaller countries have been awarded the prize

@@hesyfgdycbs3632 Anuradha Koirala had influence in literally Nepal and India. Nepal, a nation with roughly 30M Population and India, a 1.4B. So I guess it is pretty much of a big influence and positive impact in South Asian Subcontinent.

"...for this extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy". They never said he bought peace somewhere. In his position, he could use the most powerfull army of the world, armed with somes nukes. But he prefered diplomacy, wich is a 'choice' a lot have agreed on.

Since the second he announced his candidacy for President of the United States, I sincerely knew he would be our next President. Never once did I believe he would not win, we didn’t even have the Republican Candidate, but I already knew he would win. What I believe led him to win in his “Hope” for a better future as that’s what America is all about. You aren’t guaranteed nothing by living in America except death and taxes but you are guaranteed the “Pursuit of Happyness.” The pursuit word is the Hope form of a better life and that’s what people needed after millions lost their jobs and homes. History has taught us that our country could have headed down an ugly path of self-destruction especially when millions of men lost their jobs and homes just look at WW1 Germany and the rise of the Nazi Party. Many made fun of him for running on Hope but he sure took our country out of the gutter he found it in and left it in a silver platter for his successor. The act of wanting to run for President in a time when no one wanted a leader with no experience is Heroic. He left his best legacy “Obamacare” guaranteeing millions of uninsured Americans the right to healthcare. Nobel Prize or not, President Obama was on a path of his own to help those less fortunate and shined light to the parts of the world most forgotten.
