Nice work. I have no idea how old you are. Are you old enough to remember Animator Pro? It was an old animation program by Autodesk. But I stumbled on a version of this method by accident back in art school (in the late '90s), in Animator Pro. The interface in that program sucked. We didn't even have a Wacom Intuos back then, or anything like it yet. Just mouse and keyboard. But I was doing an animation of a guy wiping out on a skateboard, and it was going poorly. So I had this idea to get rid of all my linework and just animate free-floating circles: feet, knees, hips, shoulders, suprasternal notch, head, elbows, wrists. I just animated those in free space, then connected them with lines afterward. Once that looked right I went back over the frames and added detail--whatever detail you could add in Animator Pro. Been using a version of it ever since. Mostly in illustration. I haven't had time for 2D animation since the late '90s. But I'll be diving back in hardcore with Procreate Dreams on the horizon. Regardless, I've found that "circle, anchor-point method" is a good way to keep my figures dynamic.

I quite like its build. A lot of drawing displays tend toward a thin and light construction which is nice, but this one (talking about the artist 16 pro Gen 2) feels weighted and sturdy which I prefer. If they were to make a pen-computer with this construction, that would be excellent.

So if you were doing say a 5 minute animation. Would you do all the main keyframes first then go back and do the tweening. Or would you knock out the tweening per scene?
