Lot of foreigners think Paratha samosa etc are our traditional food but I feel these bakery items existed long before these things came. Samosa and stuff are late addition imo because those got popularized all around the country like 20 years. Bakery food had been staple snacks for a long time probably because of colonial influence. 800 rupee jam and bun is a major rip off man. That guy properly scammed you both. A normal tea bun cost less than 100 rupees at bakeries

Because it is a restaurant not a local tea shop and this is not over charging this is common price inside the restaurants in mirissa . If you visit mirissa you can find out how the restaurant's menu charge for their food 😅😅😂

Offering a meal to someone is nothing for many in SL. They would offer you free tea on country side. Unfortunately, there also scammers but not many our people are scammers. I have been robbued out it Rome ..... and Lisabon. So not just in asian countinent, you also have them in Europe.

As a sri lankan i feals more temperature than previous years and feals temperature is increaseasing than past years. This is a impact of climatic changes.The global temperature is rising. It is felt strongly by countries that close to equator like Sri Lanka. This is due to carbon emissions. The countries considered to be developed in the world are responsible for this. The poor countries are paying for it.
