Oh MAN!!! When they get the facial nuances a bit more dialed in, at least with a character like Zappa, you'll never be able to tell the difference, huh? I mean, it's dang good right there, but it won't take much more to make it so good, you'll need software assistance to know for sure. That's pretty Rad Dude, at least I think it's Cool. Then again, I kinda like fuckin' w/people from time to time, so I dig a bit of Anarchy occasionally. Ahhh, alright, you got me ... more than occasionally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ya know what'd be Cool w/o fuckin' w/anyone? if you could take these GPT's and have a "Frank" interface on the front end, so ya never had to type, just ask a question verbally and "GPT Frank" would come on screen to answer and interact. People could cutomize who they wanted, but you could go with Frank for yourself, or anyone that you thought was would be Cool to be your GPT Biotch 😂and have 'em do your Marketing pieces to sell the app, or extension, or software, or program, or w/eTF you crazy kids are callin' 'em these days. That'd be something folks would pay a few bucks for EASY to add to their GPT UEx. Make it, and they will come! I use the Force, Man, and this is a winner. It'd make ya some dough, plus get ya in to the Cool kids VIP lounge of AI developers too .. feel me? You'd do great with it. But HEY Man ... I'm 70 years old. In 1978 I picked up two hippy hitch hikers in Seattle, who left their back pack with some music tapes in my car. The guy was Steve Allen's estranged son (Steve Allen was the Tonight Show host before Johnny Carson). Listening to their music, it was exactly the same as your A.I' masterpiece. I returned the backpack and have missed those golden vibes ever since.

A.I. Frank was fairly right about the Dads history. The dad was crazy (inherited it from his mom). He was convinced his three girls (that could not play, sing or write songs) were going to be bigger than the Beatles. Not only were they terrible musicians, they hated to play and were forced to practice. They hated to play so much that they were actually punking their dad with their performances and nobody ever caught on because they never talked to the kids because dad did all the talking. If the truth came out and this happened today Dad (along with Joe Jackson, Michaels Father) would be jailed for abuse. This guy constantly hounded these girls about playing music when they just wanted to be outside playing hopscotch with their friends like all the other kids. Joe Jackson would tell Michael if he messed up when he performed on TV that his mom, brothers and sisters would starve. Not much pressure on a 6 year old boy! Cut these girls some slack, they didn't want to do it. Frank was actually right about them producing a Raw new untouched (by a producer) sound, for whatever that is worth.

Frank was big on the abstract and avant gard so naturally gravitated towards, the forced music by unwilling none-musicans,. the girls must have been at least humored about some that `could get it` or see the beauty in it, if for no other reason, its so bad its good. idk

The bulk of AI tools have terms of service that keep any content created with them largely copyright free at best, at worst they are the property of the creators of that model. There are currently a few court cases going on that are testing the limits of the ownership of the created content and how much the content created uses copyrighted material that was obtained by scrapping the internet wo any permission from the creators. In short it’s not anyone’s and even the seed materials are largely stolen works. EG: the Shaggs music used in the model was used in a way that could be considered copyright infringement but it has yet to be tested in the courts to my knowledge.

They virtually wrote lyrics not to far from this in the 1960's pop and psychedelic rock music. Look up the words to Incense and Peppermints by Strawberry Alarm Clock or Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by the Beatles. Not as strange as the Shaggs, but still strange enough.

I had to go look up the Shaggs before continuing with this video. Perhaps this sounds like the Shaggs to non-musicians, but after listening to 3 songs from Philosophy of the World, it manages to imitate their atonal vocals, out of tune guitars and the drum sounds. But what it fails miserably to reproduce, is the fact that all three are playing out of rhythm with one another, as well as singing out of rhythm. This is what many musicians sound like in the first few months of playing. Where concentration is focused on where the notes are on the guitar neck, or playing a roll on the snare starting on 3. AI has placed the beat exactly as one would expect of a drum machine. While the drum sounds are bad, they are entirely rhythmic. Predictable and boring really. The guitar notes also carry that same trait. So the out of tune sound is there, but everything is laid out in rhythm, on the beat. This just demonstrates that most people who program music don’t fully understand the talent it takes to actually play a traditional instrument. There are always exceptions, I’m not about to mock Trent Rezner, because he is an exceptional musician, who could play traditional instruments, but uses electronics to their full potential. But this AI attempt at a reproduction of the Shaggs style, only manages to sample sounds and arrange them with clockwork timing. It’s a big ‘ol fail.
