Filthy is back one last time with the Mori!
In this scenario, you play as one of the clans vying for control of Japan at the end of the Sengoku period. You have to defeat every other clan within the time limit, but each clan has its own strengths and unique traits!

Ah I was looking forward to this one sword scenario! What worked for me: pick either orange or pink at the start or take them out first before the others turn on you (or whoever you find most challenging). Build castles in your allies base before they turn. Yellow is a pushover and green and blue can be defeated with canon galleons.

I would've preferred the Nobunaga story to be more of a campaign of its own, starting with conquering different other clans, and perhaps a final (5th or 6th) scenario that deals with Toyotomi Hideyoshi finally completing the unification. Obviously it wouldn't include the betrayal of Nobunaga because we already have that ;)

The Uesugi base is quite expansive - I played as green (with the great cav archers) and had to re-load my final assault twice until I had some idea on how many castles they had and where they were built, which allowed me to go for a more targeted approach. I wonder if playing as the Uesugi would be the easiest just because playing as them means you don't have to face them (though being green had great advantages as well - no need for landings at all, because the Otomo can be taken down by navy alone and you already have a small base on the mainland at the start from which you can expand and build your primary production). Orange certainly didn't make too much use of their special units in my playthrough, they were pretty much a pushover.

I played as Red (Takeda - Cavalry) as it have most offensive bonus. - Send Cavalry to raid on Uesuki (Pink) first to prevent gather stone for more Castle. Castle on bridge south of pink base next to gold to snipe vill gather gold. Rush Imp age and mass cavalier & Trebs to wipe TC & Castle of Pink. - Then go for Mori (Orange), found issue of mass landmine (only real issue against Cavalier & siege) and have to train cavalry archer to clear landmine. - During that time, build Castle, tower and siege camp in Oda (Yellow) to crush them as fast as possible while also train navy for 2 remaining clans (Green & Blue). - After Mori get wiped, rush Oda while Navy go for other 2 clans one by one. If Oda wipe fast enough, move land units to small green base on main island to speed up.

That was probably the most straight forward build and destroy style scenario in this DLC, i picked the eco and cav archer faction and dominated my way through japan with cav meat shield and kataparuto trebs, the player on the island can be deafeted with just cannon galleons Edit: Well filthydelphia enabled cannongalleons for the chosokabe, that probably made the achievement easier for me 11

I played this on hard with Uesugi and it is fun, but also difficult considering the time limit. Will try to do this agin only with a different clan.

I won this scenario with the achievement with 12 seconds left and on the 3rd attempt, pretty difficult

For those who want to finish the achievement, if you choose Mori and make a lot of landmines in your allies’ bases in advance ( that is, before they betray you), the achievement will be a piece of cake, because when they turn against you, there will be massive explosions in their bases, clearing up castles and TCs in a second.

sounds good, didnt work. cant place them near tcs if there are too many farms around. if even one tc survives, they recover within seconds.

@@Ares14041 Then make as many as possible near their farms. The explosion area is quite large to make a huge damage. And you can also use some units to reap the remainders.

Red worked for me in the end. You need to be quite aggressive against pink and don't forget that you need to invade two islands in the end. Starting as blue or green never worked for me. Getting off the island was always too slow.

If you play as the Oda, you'd annihilate the whole of Japan with just Samurai, even on Hard. I finished this mission with a whopping 15 mins on the timer. Need no rams, just mass Samurai and Trebs. While dealing with Takeda, develop your navy and finish off green and blue in one swoop...All of their castles and TCs are rangeable from the shoreline. I think this differs so much from the Robert scenario purely because the Robert scenario starts so peaceful, everyone becomes pretty strong and bank up so much resources and have a 100+ standing army. While in this scenario, there is war from second 1 and the enemy doesnt have that much army stationed at home. The Robert achievement is pretty much impossible to achieve on hard.

Robert’s achievement can definitely be done on hard. The trick is to boom HARD in order to get post-Imo as quickly as possible and rush the promotion achievements so you get unstoppable death Paladins. Then just spam castles and stables all over the map to minimize army travel time and stomp enemies. Definitely a fun challenge.

Really? I thought Samurai is quite worthless in this scenario as bonus damage against unique units only good against other Samurai, and there're many units that good against samurai like Mori's Ninja, Green long range archer, and powerful cavalier from Takeda. Only thing Oda's Samurai is good is cheap for being meatshield for other units or easily mass in number.

I actually did the Robert achievement on hard my first try kek. I rushed the side quests to get Super Paladins and steamrolled everything. Finished with like 20 minutes left

@@MrAnonymous00100 believe me, the goth spam with Japanese is gamebreaking. 220 pop+35%cheaper infantry+Perfusion+33%faster attacking infantry means you annihilate everything on the map

@42:30 the landmine was destroyed by the ram splash damage. It didn’t go off because no unit attacked it.

I'm pretty good at this game but on hard I just can't even come close to beating it on Hard. Last play through I didn't eliminate anyone but yellow before the timer ran out.

I definitely am struggling with this one, I have tried the Takeda, Uesugi and Otomo so far to clear it, Takeda was for sure the closest one, but man it is hard to actually complete it within the time limit. And it has been a struggle throughout these scenarios for me whenever I was under a timer to complete achievements 😢

More great content Filthy. It's great to see some of those new play style addtions (land mines for example). I've still voting for a 'Saxon Kingdoms' edition that starts with the final Roman battles before the legions leave the UK, till Willie the Conqueror finally takes the entire island.
