Born in 1970. I spent all of my teens in the 1980’s and all of my 20’s in the 1990’s. What a lucky kid I was. The music was so good. It was a great time to be young in those decades. Young people today will feel the same about their young decades. They will get old like me and reminisce about the simpler times, as I do now. Cherish these days. Take chances. What I love about No Doubt is that Gwen and the guitarist were in a serious relationship when they started the band, but it wasn't until after they broke up and she started writing songs about their split (like this) that the band really took off. Must have been uncomfortable at times, for sure, performing heartbreak songs alongside the person who inspired them. Edit: 5 years and 120 replies later, and people are still correcting me that it was the bassist.

Talk about foreshadowing. Gwen slowly pushed to the forefront, and then the removal of the guys, leaving her alone. Kind of exactly what happened. Still, Gwen has one of the most unique voices out there. Amazing talent. But No Doubt was amazing together. Incredible sound. Love this song, one of the best ever.

I became a young father at 18... Me and my daughter were always together day in and day out for the first 3 1/2 years of her life....things didn't work out between her mother and me... everytime we would see each other we would play this song all the time......and when she was 9 we used to sing and I'll play this song on my guitar and she would perform to me and do everything gwen was doing n the video..we lost touch for many years cause I was having a hard time with drugs and alcohol due to depression... and every now and then she would text or send me this song to let me know she loves and misses me...😞💕💕..and remind me we would laugh and play and hear this song over and over alot when she was little....she's in her late 20s and is a mother herself now and every now and the she sends me this song letting me know how much she remembers the beautiful Bond we had when she was little....this song has super sentimental value to me as a young man and father......it will forever mark my bond with my princess....💗💗💗💗....
