In this new video I am going to build a guitar made with guitar picks or plectrums and epoxy resin, the result as you can see is very striking.

@selfesteem3447

Not sure what you mean by lose it but I can definitely imagine how easy this guitar could grow legs and walk away, if you know what I mean. Got to watch your guitars. My brother loved his guitars. He had one, in particular, stolen from him, he went to every pawn shop and found it and before they even identified the guy my brother was describing someone he knew who he suspected of stealing it. And walked out with his guitar.

@@selfesteem3447 oh gosh that’s too bad he had his stolen 😰 but i just wanted to say that the joke of “how easy it would be to lose this guitar” is that it’s made of guitar picks, and they get lost all the time, and fall into the guitar and can be really hard to get it out. At least that’s what I thought at first reading the comment. But you do definitely make a point that this guitar is so cool it could easily be stolen!

Just discovered these vids of making a guitar out of "odd" materials (e.g., glass, legos). Pretty fascinating to watch them nearly (or in this one, totally) craft guitars from scratch. But what has caught my attention is that the background music sounds SO totally 80s. Don't know if they just happened to be in my age range or maybe 80s music is getting its comeback?

You could punch the middle out of a bunch of the picks, glue and stack them with whole picks at the top and bottom, and use them to make a chambered body that would refract light pretty cool depending on what type of transparent/luscent picks you used. You could also use the chambers to stash and diffuse LEDs or other lights.

That is a great idea! I have been designing and 3D printing guitar picks in Nylon PA12 and ABS but I fancy getting a hold of some exotic hardwoods to make some chunky picks as they seem to have a better tone than plastics. I have also toyed with the idea of 3D printing a guitar body with a tri colour silk filament but to be able to use that filament I would have to redesign the body to be able to be printed in one peice, something like a Steinberger style body but with more width and length.

Watched this video from beginning to end. I’m impressed. Down to playing it like a pro in the end. Definitely worth watching from start to finish.
