Was thinking the same as I watched it. He has this aura about him which naturally seems to command respect. His quick wit seems to do it, as you say, + maybe his relaxed, affable manner during interviews. One of the best interviews in the business and one of the few people who can get the better of Jonathan Ross in an exchange!

Yep true..and one of the only people who can actually embarrass Jonathon ross or make him a little lost for words when noels taking the piss sometimes ha..I think the main reason why even the stars are a bit nervous or intimidated by him is because Noel and Liam have never had a 'Pop star attitude' I think even people who don't like them can appreciate that they are REAL and anyone being a bit 'Hollywood' in an interview with Noel in the same room during an interview wud be made to look ridiculous by comparision n noel wud take them apart by taking the mickey so I think it forces people to be a bit less serious about themselves around him. The guys gal in the same interview here are all kool tho. I also know they REALLY respect his gift as a songwriter n singer too obviously.

maybe it all had to do with his upbringing too. He recently gave an iinterview where he talked candidly about his father whom he hasnt had contact with for 2 decades. His father used to drink and beat them...all his brothers...so sad. all the more i admire him for his success

+jessie james he quit drugs in 1998 and it was mainly cocaine he had a problem with,. he still drinks and obviously never had a problem with alcohol really so that's probably why he's kept sharp

Ron Wylie well Liverpool had its day y'know.....and i think we have too...i mean, i love our music from Buzzcocks, V2, the Drones, slaughter&the dogs, 1976-1977 and the 'madchester' thing was prety awesome....stone roses ,happy mondays, electronic, northside, etc and before that the post punk bands -, joy division/new order , the chameleons, the smiths, james.......... i know some bands overlapped the decades, and were part of 2 or more movements but i cannot to this day think of a more sustained number of bands over so many years that comes close to us? thats debatable and so it should be, but i have probably left out quite a few more bands like 'intastella' '808 state' the Fall, oasis, ....fuck ..thats just a few haaaa,haaaa!..........Sheffield are my pick for some of the best bands too, i like their stuff.
