The recording location is at the northern portal to the Porootarao tunnel. A slow goods, Train 700, with mostly four wheel wagons, is approaching the southern end of the Porootarao tunnel, and can be heard entering the tunnel. As the train progresses through the tunnel, a large volume of air is pushed out affecting the microphones. While Train 700 has been coming through the tunnel, Train 337 has pulled into the crossing loop and then continues its southward journey as Train 700 clears the loop.
