Thank you for your great advice, especially regarding tailgaters. People can be pushy but it’s not worth letting them pressure you into going faster, especially in dangerous conditions! Also, it’s important to keep cold weather survival gear in your car such as extra layers, hand warmers, and snacks. I’m new to your channel and love your content and how knowledgeable you are about cars:)

Use snow tires instead of all seasons if you live in a snowy region. Completely worth the hassle of switching in fall and spring. Great tips overall!

I wish they would present this information in driver's ed down here. I swear people in North Carolina forget how to drive when it rains, let alone when ice falls from the sky.
@Nofrillsasmr
@Nofrillsasmr 6 ай бұрын
When I lived in Arizona it hardly rained so when it did the oils that were on the road for months would float to the surface and make super slick spots that cars would slip and slide on - people really couldn’t handle it there. 😂

The trick to driving in winter weather is flooring it everywhere you go so your tires spin faster, it melts the snow on the ashphalt, and you get better traction!!

I have lived in CA all my life and although a two/three hour drive to snowy mountains, I have never been to or experienced snow! So this is all brand new info to me so thank you. Today before work there was a layer of ice on my windshield and I didn’t know how to handle that 😂 I used rubbing alcohol cuz I seen that on TikTok haha
@Nofrillsasmr

Was that effective? I've never tried it - I'm not on TikTok (should I be?). Just don't get the alcohol on your car paint - I think that could mess up the clear coat. Thanks for watching!!

I’m moving to Minnesota and have been looking at tips a lot. I’ve heard from most people that snow tires are worth switching to in the winter season bc all seasons don’t cut it in the northern winter. I’ve also heard AWD is great, but most people say tires are more important. I’m from STL so we get a decent amount of snow typically, but nothin compared to northern winters. I love the snow though.
@Nofrillsasmr

How hilly is Minnesota? If it's hilly where you're moving, I'd consider both AWD or 4wd and snow tires. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

I have lived in Michigan my whole life. Where I live in Flint is expected like 7 inches of snow. I absolutely hate snow i hate driving in it, I hate snow blowing, the only thing snow and ice is good for is snow days, but since I'm an adult those don't exist. So it serves no purpose to me ....with all that being said this video was awesome and relaxing and full of alot of great tips 😂

@@Nofrillsasmryes that’s exactly right! People buy bags of sand to put in the bed for the extra weight on the axle and if you need to you can cut a bag open and use it for traction
