This Nokia Lumia 520 repair video will show you how to teardown and replace a touch screen digitizer and LCD display screen. I also point out important components in the Lumia 520 such as the headphone jack, speakers, etc. that may need to replace as well.

If you find the new touch screen does not work or it won't charge etc.
A hard reset should fix it.
DIY repairs will void any warranty but may save you £$

Nice vid. I am in the situation that my screen does not light up at all. When i turn on the phone it vibrates and boot up fine, and i can hear the messages ticking in - but no light in screen at all. What to do? Is the screen not receiving power, or just not working? The screen does not have a dent at all, and i have never dropped it on the floor?

Casper Andreasen it might be worth trying a new display but there's a chance it still might not work if its a problem with the mainboard. You won't know until you try...

I used this video as a guide to transfer a motherboard from a cracked Lumia 520 to a new Lumia 520. Now the new one doesn't need to be unlocked or setup because everything was stored on the motherboard. Thank you!

My wife cracked her screen a few months back, I bought a cheap replacement phone to keep her going until the contract was due for renewal but then thought I'd have a go at repairing it after seeing this video. Picked up a new screen for £8 from Amazon and had it fitted and working perfectly in 20 mins thanks to this video.

Brilliant instructions, this was quiet simple the tricky bit was the tape to remove the digitizer please make sure you heat as instructed it makes it easier. I did crack my frame in one place but it did not effect the phone and afterwards the phone was workng lovely. So thank you together with your instructions and a new digitizer screen from ebay including tools for a fiver saved me over 70 quid!!! can i give you one bit of constructive feed back though, the bit about testing the new screen for compatability first should be at the begining of the vid not at the end. Thanks very much x

hi loved your video i done everything ud mention to do with replacing the nokia lumia screen i brought a new one of ebay but the nokia lumia wont stay on and when i swipe my finger across the screen it stop half and that was it so its unusable is there anything else i could try to get it working please need your help thanku x
