Personally I think Jessica was the best love interest for Nolan. I like Bailey but I preferred Jessica.

Just watched the ep, now i was spoiled on the breakup like a few days after the ep originally aired, (just wasn't 100% sure why, knew it had something to with her being late from the promos) granted i saw it coming when we 1st seen the Ex/Dr. pop back up which is frustrating bc the writers is LITERALLY bunny hopping him from one relationship to the next! And its only S3 (middle of S3 at that) like pick some damn body & leave it be! Better yet just leave my man single for a while & just have him concentrate on his career! Shoot i think Nolan & we all could use a season of him being single! Side note: lazy ass way to break em up! Like damn she went from not wanting kids at all, to being late, & desperately wanting kids all in ONE GOT DAMN EP! Like tf! Is that even realistic! Hell we just got over that suspect shooting. Then wanting to moving in, which she lowkey made the decision for them both (not to mention a few other honorable mentions in their relatio ship progession)... Its one big fell swoop! Like yall could at least let the relationship simmer a bit, spaced out some shit! This season just felt like a rush to their end! To like hurry up and move it along with the next interest! This show has no concept of a slow burn! His love interests have literally been lined up before the relationship he's in ends! If all this relationship was, was a bridge to his EX the Dr. Yall could've let it be, kept em as good friends, with an attraction! Damn! Lol rant over!

I somehow missed this episode while binging this. When he asked his ex out for a night and she asked if it was a date. I was wondering I hadn’t seen Jessica 😂 Kinda glad, I thought she was part of the terrorist cell who shot the guy to close ends and protect herself with how callous she was.

This show really likes to do things, and then like 3 episodes later say nah not really huh? First of all it’s quite dumb how you get Nolan into a relationship to be like actually nah we like this love interest more, secondly Nolan is literally the reason she wants to have kids, but then she so quickly and for a long term relationship effortlessly ends with him is so unrealistic and brutal, so many better ways you could’ve had this relationship end

I hope Nolan eventually ends up with Chen. They were good together and broke up on the word of a woman who chose her career over any relationship and in the end left anyway. I always believed that the best of friends make the best spouses, because once the inferno of passion simmers down, it's that solid foundation of friendship that the relationship is gonna continue to build off of, and Nolan and Chen have a solid friendship that was durable enough to not only survive the breakup but grow stronger. I think in the end they should realize they are a solid team and it should reflect both on and off the force.
